Ugh. I *hate* the Lion Guard's reasoning for his scar. It makes NO sense. "The snake venom clouded his judgement and made him evil!!" oh give me a freakin' break! Dumb! Not fond of "Mufasa"'s story either, but that's a whole 'nother can of worms. xD; The Cape Buffalo/His Father smacking him makes the MOST sense out of all of them.

My theory: If you watch the mufasa movie you can see that Kion actually was not born in the pride lands, and Kion went and married a girl who led the night pride, as Kiara looks like a woman now, Kion is gone to lead with the girl (I forgot her name) but he ends up marrying the girl, so that’s why he’s gone when Kiara became queen Kion was not there

Hey, hang on. Taka got the scar because he SAVED Mufasa, but I guess Mufasa couldn't just ignore him siding with Kiros... but he could have. Couldn't Mufasa just have decreed that Taka was forgiven, despite the thing with Kiros? I guess in a way no, coz Disney was trying to MAKE Scar, not have him stay as Taka
