Why Zira isn't as Evil as You Thought | Zira's Story: • Why Zira isn't as Evil...
Everyone knows Scar from The Lion King, the lion with the scar across his face who became the villain of the Pride Lands. But did you ever wonder how he got that iconic scar on his eye? Was it due to a fight with a buffalo, or was he trapped into getting bitten by a venomous snake? Disney tells us two different stories about how he got his scar, and today, i’’l explain how I think both of them could have really happened. Let me know your thoughts in the comments down below.
If you love the lion king as much as i do, i have some nice products that i found listed down below. Great as christmas gifts :)

The story of The Lion Guard revolves around a group of young lions who are tasked with protecting the Pride Lands from various threats. The Lion Guard is a diverse group of characters who come from different backgrounds and have different personalities and abilities. They work together to protect the Pride Lands and its people from danger and to uphold the Pride Lands' traditions and values. The Lion Guard series is full of action, adventure, and friendship, and it is a heartwarming and inspiring tale of courage and resilience in the face of adversity.
Even before his encounter with the Strange Lion, Scar was already proven to be envious, power-hungry, and jealous of Mufasa's position as King of the Pride Lands, which shows that he was going to become the villain he is now either way. It should also be noted that when Scar as a spirit had his cobra minion, Ushari, inject his grand-nephew, Kion, with his venom, Kion did become prone to anger, but did not turn evil like Scar did, showing that while the Strange Lion had the Strange Cobra inject Scar with his venom, which contains corrupting influence, Scar still became evil out of his own choice and therefore still had his moral agency. There's also the fact that unlike Kion, Scar didn't seek any treatment for the venom that was infecting him and allowed himself to fall into depravity. Furthermore, while Kion became prone to anger, he didn’t turn toward what Scar did and showed remorse each time his temper flared, showing that he became that way by choice. So there you have it.
@DavidBContentExtravaganza3967
Actually, the venom did make Scar evil. No one knew about Scar's venom, while Kion's friends & family knew about it in his case. Thus, they were able to get Kion help.
It gotta be something deeper for the way scar is like come on bro scar real name means trash like before ofc I will have hate in me if my parents name me something that’s mean trash or waste like who in the world would name they child something like that and plus maybe scar would never been evil if his family would had treating him better in the first place maybe he would never did the stuff he did you just don’t be born evil something in your pasted to make you evil we gone figure it out in the movie when it comes out scar I was a cub and nice ain’t no way you born evil something makes people or lion evil scar just blind by jealousy and abuse and neglect in his pasted that made him evil nobody born evil
@@solobighomieace Taka mean want
@@Optimegatrongodzilla Actually Scar make his own choice is even show in the show
I think Mufasa didn't laugh but said like, "nice work Scar" in a joking manner, and Scar was like, "you wanna call me Scar, fine then, that's my name from now on".
Maybe
you have forgotten about Ahadi scratched Taka because he went to see the hyenas and there is the newest one Mufasa and Taka was fighting over Sarabi then Mufasa scratched Taka's left eye and bit his ears
Good point
Those books are not canon.
go on google type in Ahadi scratch Taka
@@TruthBeTold6573he did if you seen the movie mufasa the lion king it will show
@@TruthBeTold6573 There's a live-action prequel that just came out.
Both incidents happed and because of the jealousy of his brother's name and appearance he at least became evil.
I think both happened but buffalo thing can happen but scar not going deep but snake that might give him some against pride land
I really loved that you like The Lion King! ❤
I also love The Lion King!
Mufasa : Don't turn your back on me scar
Scar : Oh no Mufasa perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me
Mufasa is that challenge
Scar : I wouldn't dream of challenges you again
In the original 2019 Disney animated film, "The Lion King," Scar gets his scar from Mufasa during that same confrontation.
After Scar's ominous warning, Mufasa swipes at Scar, leaving a gash on his left eye. This injury becomes the iconic scar that defines Scar's character.
The scene symbolizes:
1. Mufasa's protection of his kingdom and family.
2. Scar's growing resentment and hatred toward Mufasa.
3. The brothers' complicated and tumultuous relationship.
That scar becomes a constant reminder of Scar's defeat, fueling his ambition to overthrow Mufasa and claim the throne.
Actually, according to The Lion King (both the 1994 and 2019 versions), the origin of Scar's scar is not explicitly shown or explained in detail. The film doesn't depict any direct battle between Mufasa and Scar that results in Scar's injury. However, Scar’s dialogue in the 2019 version, where he says, "Oh no, Mufasa, perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me," hints at tension and past conflicts between the two brothers.
In the extended universe, particularly in The Lion Guard series, Scar (originally named Taka) received his scar in a different way. He was involved in a plan to prove his strength by luring a buffalo into attacking Mufasa. However, the plan backfired, and the buffalo struck Taka, giving him the scar and leading to his new name, "Scar."
In conclusion, while the dialogue in the 2019 movie implies past conflicts, the origin of Scar's scar isn't shown in that film. The extended Lion Guard series provides a more detailed backstory, where his injury comes from a buffalo, not a duel with Mufasa.

How did you write all that 😅
@@malihakhatun9365 I was checking the conversation on Mufasa and scar in the lion King remake (2019) ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This guy is so entertaining
It was a book thirty years ago. That’s the true story. Period.
I think both ways could have happened, and scar wasnt evil cause of the venom as we see with kion it makes ur darker emotions suface. But Kion was always a good guy so he was able to stay true to himself while scar was bad from the start. The venom made scar worse. when kion get bit he never thinks about killing simba and taking the throne like scar did.
In the new the lion king movie, Scar got his scar because kiros attacked him.
You should do a video on why Zira was banished from the Pride Lands.
This afternoon i upload a video about Zira's story, but it is not specifically about why she was banished, more about her past.
I've always thought Scar was injured by Mufasa in the fight real lions do in nature. Sure, that couldn't have been the case for Disney, too brutal from a character like Mufasa: so strong and benevolent.
Still, it is not believable as a snake bite. My second guess was a water buffalo.
Kion Son of Simba
Grandson of Mufasa
Yeah
yup
honestly i dont know why he still messing up things time to time
Awesome 😎😎😎😎
Thank you
I saw the real-life version, and it was this white lion who was about to scratch mufasa buf instead the white lion scratched taka and he became scared because he told mufasa to call him scar for what he had done
Do a video on how rafiki read the script of lion king in his own universe because obviously he seemed to predict scar would return. He also knew that scar murdered his own lion gaurd whilst scar was still around otherwise why would he have a painting about him up and know every detail of the lion gaurd demise it's simple, he had to of been watching over scar and what your telling me he doesn't tell muffassa or any other characters how dangerous this dude was without at least some foresight knowledge that he would be stopped, on top of that watch how he interacts with simba in lion king, he seems to act like an all knowing mastermind when he encourages him to go home also we are shown in the lion king 1 and a half movie he taught timon hakuna mattata a phrase he knew s imba would of needed to hear after running away from home. Its not out of the realm of possibility that rafiki is an all knowing mastermind, theirs evidence to support it in the episode of the lion gaurd season 2 divide and conquer Janja and the hyenas are sneaking up on him very quietly yet rafiki just before they are about to attack reacts without even having prior knowledge they were there,he clearly knew scar was around in spirit form, this dude can sense the great kings of the past your telling me he couldn't sense scar no way and he's the one who gets kiara and kovu to fall in love because muffassa told him they were meant to.
So the theory is rafiki communicates with the great kings of the past who know all basically and they tell rafiki things which we know, we are told in the show but the theory is the great kings tell him pretty much the plot of entire episodes of the lion gaurd and theirs more evidence but i was thinking maybe you could delve deeper into this theory then I can be cause its interesting.
This is a really interesting one and i am definitely going to look deeper into it! Guess i''l have to rewatch lion king 1 and a half😁
Both fights Happened I think at the same time but some where eals
I think Disney keeps changing things for the modern times. Let’s see another change happen in Mufasa the movie.
3:50 they say that he's Zira's older brother
yeah this aged well with the new movie of their backstory- mufasa is not even taka real brother, taka was the original prince, he just saved mufasa, they grew up together. Mufasa went behind taka back with sarbi, his father never hurt him. taka got his scar by saving mufasa, taka saved mufasa 3 times, but insted, mufasa called him scar, makes me feel bad for hm (i'll stop yapping now)
Kion is Son of Simba not mufasa
That mark REALLY spooks me.
How?
@@MountedOffWolf Well because That mark wasn't a normal mark because The Lion King says that whoever gets that mark loses control of one's self.
@@AndrewDavis-sj6mb Look at Kion he didn’t turn evil. So venom doesn’t turn lions evil
@@xxxnarurto5747 W'ell geez creepweeps Tell that to The Disney COMPANY not me.
If cobras are venomous wouldn't the bite have killed him if the venom wasn't removed rather than simply "turning evil??"
This is the way Rafiki explained the venom worked in the lion guard
Not cannon withmufasa movie
Three ways how taka got his scar he got attacked by a buffalo bit by a venomous snake in the lion guard and Ahadi give him the scar taka means want and dirt
4:56 NANATHOR: Kion son of Mufasa…
Me: Son of Simba!…
Both fights happened
Actually Taka mean want 🥰🤦♀
Who is the black cobra
ACTUALLY Kion is son of Simba, GRANDSON of Mufasa :)
In the mufasa movie he got it from Kiros
I heard a theory where zera and scar fart and in their fight they got the notch in her ear and scar. Another scar in his eye. scars I healed from four attempts, and after he was bitten by the snake, he got a fifth. It made it so permanent in his eye that will fossa nickname from scar scars resentful to this name because the first time he was ever hit was with that bull when he requested to scar him and the venom in his face he knew that Mufasa shouldn’t be king. Therefore he attacked his guard, destroying them completely, and then later became king of the pride lands until Simba took them down.
What?
Why does every villain have a sad backstory why are they not pure evil, this is making me feel bad and not evil Bruh
I’m pretty sure that Scar didn’t get the scar from a snake. 🙂↔️ 👎
Before “The Lion Guard” was premiered on TV and on DVD, I wanted to get all of the books of “The Lion King: Six New Adventures”.
But I was too late to get all of them, because they were all sold out on Amazon and eBay. 😢
What about the new movie The Lion King: Mufasa where mufasa’s biological parents died so Taka/Scar’s parents adopted Mufasa and Taka and Mufasa were best bros?
an little correction, the Kion is Grand son of Mufasa, and Kion is Son of Simba
But in the series we now that they can not heal the scare physical
Now we have 3 mufasa lion king
Actually Kion is the son of Simba. Mufasa mean King and Taka mean want 😱🤦♀
Kion is Simba's son and Mufasa 's Grandson
4:57 What do you mean son of Mufasa
you made a mistake cause when you mentiond kion you said he was son of mufasa
There's possibly one in the mafusa movie
Defenetly, but the
“The Lion King / Simbas Pride / The Lion Guard, time line“
is a different one, from the realistic looking.
That's zira dad he has same notch on his earbut his brother doesn't and he's to old to be zira brother
Ahadi gave Taka that Scar without thinking
I believe the book
There is also a connection between Scars father and mother. Scar’s father has a golden pelt, green eyes and a black mane, who is Ahadi. Scar’s mother has a brown pelt with amber eyes, who is Uru. The theory I mostly like about how Scar got his Scar, isn’t in this video. So Scar/Taka, thinks of going out to the elephant grave yard for fun, but Mufasa disagrees, but he goes with Taka anyway. They arrive and are chased by hyenas, whose names are unknown, but I believe they are the parents of Shenzi, Bonzo, and Ed, they three hyenas. Ahadi protects them from the hyenas and heads home. Ahadi is pissed as Taka, when Taka admits that he thought of going to the graveyard. Ahadi tells Mufasa to leave the cave for a few minutes, and waits outside with Uru. Ahadi scolds Taka for his recklessness, and scratches Taka’s face. After that, Mufasa was favorited by Ahadi, and Taka decides to be called Scar.
But isn’t mufasa’s son’s name Simba?
King in swahili is mfalme not mufasa
It may be mufasa in another bantu language
Yo film secrets do a theory on how Cobras have it in for lions be cause the mark of great evil appears when a lion is bitten in the face by a cobra we knpw this scar the strange lion is indicated to have had it done to him and kion all because of snakes and the evil lion s of the past had the mark so this means that snakes bit them to so snakes must want lions under their control but why please do a theory on this.
Zira dad
The scar comes from kiros
Kion is the son of simba
U tell kion son of mufasa
What about askarires What would he say
You said Kion the son of Mufasa but it is simba
Time 4:53
Caion is the son of Simba not Mufasa
Kion is the son of simba not Mufasa
What happens to scar's biological father
but we have l the lion King Mufasa there is story difrend
I saw the movie mufasa the lion king so I know the reasons and this is not true
I feel like the lion guard version. Sounds more realistic because the roar of the elders is a gift given to Is lions worthy of the gift, And if scar used Evil before he got his scar then he wouldn't have gotten the gift, So I feel that scar before he got his scar might have had a good relationship with mufasa, But going off of the book was looked down by his father, Who viewed him as, A waste and favorite mufasa because he was destined to be king, And scar was a little bit jealous of that, But just became more anti social, We're just hung out with a different crowd like the hyenas from when they were younger, And then maybe scar overtime just grew in somebody like Kion And probably have the same story arc when he found out he was the leader of the Lion guard, And it was one of the only things that gave him a sense of power, So he took his job very seriously as being the leader, Because He have the idea that Him being the leader would make his father notice him, And acknowledge him, And when the strange line approaches scar, I don't think that he was necessarily planning on plotting against his brother then but found the idea Of being A king intriguing, And started to think to himself that if he was the most powerful lion why shouldn't he be king, But I feel like taka wouldn't have necessarily the trade is, It was just thoughts going on in his mind, And I feel like mufasa giving Taka. The name scar was two things, When mufasa thought that scars little adventure was made up or someth and there was just some accident that happened to him and he was just giving him the nickname scar to be playful, Or two because of mufasa and scars father's grooming mufasa started to, Think more highly of himself as future king, And And didn't acknowledge scar for the things He is done to defend the Pride lands, And that's when the venom from the snake bite in scars scar starts to Kick in, Causing jealousy to turn into anger and the rest of the story you know. I don't think scar was really evil at a very young age, Rather he just became that way, But I feel like scar with very ambitious, And just wanted attention from those who neglected him
The point that he wouldn't have gotten the roar if he had the scar before is actually a really good point! Didn't think about that myself
@@FilmSecrets-11 Yeah, Because.
If a person was evil before and they got that gift, then skyrim probably would have just to use it to destroy Mufasa in the first place.
@@FilmSecrets-11 Long story short? I think scar used to be slightly jealous of mufasa, but still thought of him as a brother and they got older. They started to distance. It's dense but then scar got the gift of the roar and became a leader of the lying guard and felt a sense of pride having some position of power. But when he was Put down by his brother The venom from the snake bite started to make him think thanks.
And then that's when he became evil
@@FilmSecrets-11 Maybe for your next video. You could explain how the hyenas, Jackals, and Vultures, Came to live in the outlands in the first place
