A good addition to this would be to include a segment on what skills to turn on/off for the AI when controlling other characters, since we all know the AI doesnt make the smartest choices if you leave everything on, but also cant quite use the same skills in the same way that a player can.
Alphen has been really fun. I’ve been using just about what you’ve been using , with moves like star dust and destruction in my second loud out. I’ve been really enjoying Rinwell and her casting. Combining her astral arts and creating hard hitting magic abilities and combining buffs making herself and her allies crazy strong has been hella fun. I love both the sword play from Alphen and the casting dmg support role from Rinwell.
@@RaifSeverence Beg to differ unless you're talking about a maxed out weapon on Alphen. Still, one thing to recall is that even if you have an insane weapon, character defense doesn't get much better after level 65-ish and all you have is higher max HP. So if Alphen drains all of his HP, doesn't kill all enemies in one shot, he can still die like a dud for attempting this.
Keeping ariel attacks during bosses can definitely be good depending on what Arte it is. I used lightning thrust to fight the first lord, its a super mobile move and paired with the arial evasion skill you can get from one of the panels, that shit hella helped to keep me mobile while doing damage. I was basically using it like a dodge it launched alphen too quick to really get hit by any of the lords axe swings on the way up, put him behind the lord, dealt damage on the way up, opened him up for a stardust or something similar, AND if the lord WAS to attack once i was up there, i had that arial dodge to bail me out.
He the Hero and the Berserker of the series. he is extremely fun like playing talion but against multiple range/caster sweaty palm intensify (like talion too XD) pressing dodge and rinwell trying not to die.
Really like the lightning fast build. Late game enemies dont break easily specially the armatus and astral. They dont break at all plus they can stun lock u.
@deargamertv Your Tales of Arise videos are getting some new love since the Expansion! It brought in new fans like me. Are you going to make new videos for the Expansion?
Thanks for pointing out how cool dragon swarm is! I love that move. In the air, i like Void flash and I'm torn between Luna ronda and stardust. i find Luna does way more damage but stardust seems to add to the boost strike meter better to get that awesome hit in!
Alphen dps is just get aerial and use devastation over the enemy’s head (out of reach) till break then lunar rondo juggling till they fall and use other players abilities to keep ag up. When enemy goes back down switch to destruction again.
yea alphen is busted, i havent used him much since i got law and rinwell though they are pretty much my mains at this point. ive been playing shionne recently and found that her tres vento arte is kinda broken on most enemies its got crazy dps and u can spam it and it builds the boost strike guage pretty quick. it was getting me through the post game dungeon (lv 60 enemies) at like level 38 on hard mode with relative ease. Got stuck on the boss though because ai team mates are really fucking stupid and constantly die
A very short while after Area 3 you'll get an Artifact that let's you add 3 more ground and air artes utilizing L2 + designated face buttons for 12 total artes.

Just to give you guys an idea how long the game is. I just beat it after playing almost 80 hours and I've still haven't finished all the side quest or unlocked all the characters skills. All of my characters were at level 55. Great Tales game!
Beat the 4 elemental bosses that are spread out throughout the world after wedge. All are tied to sidequest. Some hidden. Warning , one is at a place where its minions are level 66. (Great level grind spot.)
So nearing the end of the game is there still plenty to do to get more skill points to unlock all of these skills or do you have to wait for your second playthrough?
@@il.mister yeah but I would recently learned The closer you are to the enemies power level the less skill points you get from them. Is there a point where you're too powerful to get enough points from anybody to keep unlocking skills?

I'm having a problem stuck on 3rd boss that uses the earth artes . I started on hard mode...can't beat him , the ai isn't helping literally not attacking.
I ended up mostly duoing it controlling alphen and letting shionne do whatever. The ai cant seem to get out of his way but the attacks themselves are easy enough to dodge for the player and the boss has clear opportunities to do damage. It took a long time but eventually he went down. Make sure you have your whole party equipped with the 50% earth/wind damage reduction accessories. Used a similar strategy for the ambushing dragon Gigant Zeugle except with Fire reduction accessories. His attacks are stupid easy to dodge but the AI gets killed immediately.
I know it not at flashy as all that crap you showed, but i do as much damage with one skill than you with a 70combo with one reigning slash. Versus Bosses i even can double my damage since i hit weakpoint+boss for twice the damage. Only needed that skill to finish the game on hard.
