No snitches no rats no ghost writers. It was NOT EASY being white in early stages of hip hop PERIOD. Much respect to Serch. Back in the day I thought these young beautiful black women weren't feeling me at first when they were calling me Serch it took me a few minutes to realize it was a respectful comment
More interviews about hip hop history and culture, rather than the thuggery nonsense. Educate our kids on where hiphop comes from and the power of the pen and culture.
MC Serch always gives great interviews. We need more back stories and history of the 80’s and early 90’s. I’d love to see Chubb Rock, Special Ed, and other unsung heroes from that era on here, Math ✌️
Serch has some incredible stories! I love hearing about these classic hip hop tales that nobody would ever know about otherwise.. keep doing your thing Math
He kinda leaves out the negative parts or when he was an a hole. Young serch was wild. These interviews kinda sound like he was humble and played his part but he was a trouble maker
This may be the best interview out to date... Need more of these.... Respect to Search. The Cactus Alum was the 1st tape i bought when i was in the 5th grade.

You can never deny the intellect, intelligence and wisdom of MC Search. His detail to occurrences and articulation of the words he speaks makes him a superb storyteller.

It's a damn shame that there is so much bad blood between Serch and his FORMER partner that he doesn't even want to say his name.... PRIME MINISTER PETE NICE. It's an absolute damn shame you will never see them on a stage again together PROBABLY.
@@REAL6 They were going to have a 25th Anniversary tour for the Cactus Album in 2014. Serch’s wife basically issued him an ultimatum (“Me or The Road; I’m not going through this again”). Serch chose his wife and backed out the tour. Pete (according to Serch, on Questlove’s podcast) had already accepted AND spent the advance money for the first three dates on the tour. Fast forward to a couple years ago when the whole Serch/Rakim ghostwriting accusations thing was happening. Serch goes on Lord Sear’s show to clap back at Sear for dragging Serch into the mess. Sear secretly had Pete call in to call out Serch for being a pathological liar. Serch & Pete start arguing right there on air. Rich makes even bolder proclamations on both of them on Twitter (claimed to have fucked both their respective wives). Long story short, yeah…you’re never seeing 3rd Bass on stage or wax again.
Maaaan what an interview. Who's idea was it to bring Serch on, because that guy needs a raise. Hey my guys, you channel is amazing. I hope you find more success than you know what to do with?
Mate this is a great interview - 3rd bass was part of the soundtrack to my childhood - gas face / 3 the hard way / triple stage darkness - thanks for putting this out!!!!
I think serch is upset with his partner Pete, for exposing him for a lot of the BS that he said, in other interviews! Pete nice know a lot of the real truth and I think math should have him on.
Great interview math, u did it again, another great guest sharing informative 2 the masses. but can we also in the near future here from his ex- mc partner from 3rd base prime minister Pete Nice as well? he's also responsible 4 many hip hop ground breaking MC's like Kurious & MF DOOM and NYC underground legends Non Phixion! food 4 thought!
I'm here to testify because I lived this s*** and you may want to pin this. Raheem the vigilante was out of Houston and he was the 1st artist I've ever known off rap a lot!! Biggest hit was On the Dance floor. And IT was because they sampled Eddie Kendrick's keep on trucking
Yeah except he said his favourite band was the Smiths and he's friends with Jonny Marr, but he said the Smiths are out of London. They're from Manchester. That's like saying Biggie is from Miami.
Respect to Serch for the work and the grind he put in to get in the game. I hope those people looking to get in realize that sleep is optional not necessary. Don't wait to be great, start today.
burning the candle on both ends, is when a person say they remember falling asleep once in two years, old man told me once 1 man 1 job, if you can't make end meet from one job, you Fuk-up some where along the line and need to recover
Momma should have known that it was a blessing things didn't work out when she got that call. Any man that trys to involve another man's momma in some grown business is no good in the first place.
Serch is showing you just how HARD it was to breach the world of hip hop back when the game required hard work and respect for the craft. You couldn’t just get on because you knew so and so…you had to have skills and you had to hone those skills in battle ciphers and clubs to prove that you belonged.
Yo Math keep doing your thing GOD!!! I know how it is to be/trayed by ppl who think are your"friends" or so called"brothers". Honestly the show is much better without those 3 circus 🤡 clowns!!!! Great guest. The best Podcast out here!!!! And yo tell Bigga not to stress about what the guest talk about and say 😁😂
This the embodiment of Hip Hop in the early stages.. You ate it, you breathed it, you lived it..
