Met Pete Nice in Atlantic City in 92 or 93. He was sitting by himself in a casino restaurant, and I was his waiter. No crew, no homies, no girls. Just him. He was quiet and chilling. I talked to him for a few minutes after he finished up his meal. Asked when 3rd Bass would be putting out another album. He kinda smiled and said it wasn't happening anytime soon. Kind of when I figured out the group was no more. He signed a doily for me. Wish I had it still.

Great I love Pete Nice, He was always My favorite of the two. Lyrics wayyyy ahead of His time, dope style great Hop Hop head knowledge.
Edit: I love How Pete is secure and mature enough to Mention Serch by name, Serch won't ever say Pete's name, Pete Never once mentioned the Hammer " Hit on them" Serch said He was in therapy for 30 years over it! Serch is a Nut, I was shot at once, Had a gun put to my face once, and a knife at my throat once and soon As I walked away I was always fine. Pete just moved on like we all do when things happen like that in life, we are from NYC the rugged times lol..... Serch is just a weirdo.

Pete Nice was always my fave rapper over Serch in 3rd Bass....seems Serch was up himself from then with his loud character and dancing in the videos while Pete was opposite laid back and smooth ...legends

Great discussion, a lot of hiphop history. He seems cooler about the breakup of 3rd Bass, heard Serch speak recently and he wouldn't even mention Pete's name.

Also more Pete Nice please, I could listen to him all day.
I’ve seen pretty much all Serch’s interviews but not so much of Pete, I feel like Pete has hours more stories to tell

Peace, 7! Keep listening. Even though, he was an Ansaar, he drops jewels of 120 in his rhymes, real subtle shit.
That and he likes to switch perspective from 1st to 3rd person a lot and quickly. That turns off a lot of people cause they want something linear or spoon fed.

This is so dope to see. We never hear from Pete and we really need to. It’s good to see the other side represented..since Serch is always somewhere running his mouth. Pete Nice is that dude I looked up to as a kid that made me feel like it was ok to rhyme as a white kid. Respect. I hope I get a chance to visit the museum one day.

Man this is so dope! 1st show was 3rd Bass / Nice N Smooth & KMD was supposed to be there but it was Downtown Science. Club Grafitti (gone) in Pittsburgh near Pitt Uni. Serch came outside after and asked me and my homie how we liked the show. Got a pic but I never got a copy. Pete dipped off to the bus I think. Classic show n times!!
