  • The 'Mount Rushmore' of 80's Session Guitarists are on this great album from Stephen Bishop. Luke, Landau, Michael Thompson, and on this, Dann Huff. Although, it's not an album I listen to for guitar really. I love the track Parked Cars and that became my main commuting song driving to work. I think I listened to that on repeat consistently for a couple of weeks on those morning drives. Anyway, some great Huff guitar licks and tone on this (I play some of the keyboard parts in the last chorus). Check out the album if you haven't already and you'll even hear some Sting and Phil Collins too. 'Bowling In Paris' is the perfect name to go with the album cover also! :D

I use a Jackson DK2 into a Boss Me50 into a Boss DC-2W into a Focusrite Scarlett, recording onto Logic Pro where I add some pitch detune and stereo delays from SoundToys.

My headphones are purposely like that so the cable stays out the way.
I have a Patreon where I upload my notation notes for all my new covers and I am going through my old ones too. But I also provide custom notation and video lessons content there or at my bwmguitarlessons@gmail.com address. Please get in touch if you want help playing the music you love. / bwm5150

Awesome job!! This is probably my favorite song off of an unexpectedly great 80s AOR album by Stephen Bishop. Mister Heartbreak, Kari, Walking On Air and Love at a Distance are terrific as well. Stephen has some great musical connections and friends in the industry. The album has a “Who’s Who?” of A-list talent.

I’ve been watching your channel since 2020 and as usual you killed it on this track. My personal favorite track of the album is Parked Cars and like yourself I constantly play that song on an infinite loop. It’s such an amazing song and one of the reasons why I dig a lot of the 80s AOR/Melodic Rock style of music. Anyways, Keep up the good work.

Hello there ! I’ve been listening to you for a while now…you’re a very talented guitarist, your choice of songs is incredible, Def is one of my favorite band ever. Everything you posted as of today reaches me. I think the 80’s is the best era ever because back in those days when you where listing to a song on the radio or Much (there was no internet at the time) you already new who the heck was playing it ! Today with the AI and all the sampling I dont know where it’s are going ! There is band that I never heard you play “Coney Hatch” specialy the song “Fantasy” I’ve been trying to nail it for a while but could’t get the start of it, there is a mix of delay-flanger-chorus… if you a have a minute could you look in to it ? I am from Quebec city Canada, the chances I cross you on the street are pretty slim !!! Tks for the good work, dont stop what you’re doing, we need guys like you to keeping it ALIVE ! excuse my writing, I am a french dude ! 😉

GREAT cover man, as always! Your covers are seriously good!! Hey, I normally don't make "requests", but any chance you can do Skid Row's "In A Darkened Room"? I was actually surprised you didn't do that, feels like it's very much your style. Perhaps you can even "lepperdize" it is a bit, it's a great song, I hope you can do a cover for that. Take care man.
