You're right about this. The film and music industries give such a large voice to the most broken in society, when they could be giving voice to more positive stories. If the youth see that they can make 10x the 💰 rapping about "ops", money💸 and guns, than they can rapping only about ANYTHING else, which is going to win? It's playing out right before our eyes. The common thread linking the violence perpetuated today is poverty and ego.

Georgia does have the death penalty. But typically a murder like this wouldn't get considered for it.

What is wrong with people these days? Shooting people have become a sport. Everything is settled with a gun. And, these criminals, young and old, think they are not going to get caught. Here is a grieving family of a young man who was successful in his own right and two teenage criminals whose families probably tried to guide them in the right way but they want to make quick money with drugs and guns. You can act like tough men now but you will be little boys in prison crying for your mothers.

Ive seen this movie before.
It won’t end until we get tough on crime and start giving these criminals what they give. We’ve gotten to the point where we have incentivized crime. I locked up many people for brandishing weapons against others and they were back on the street starting trouble again in 2 days. They would literally mock me on the way to jail saying that they’d bond out and be back at it in no time. Let officers chase fleeing criminals, reinstate the death penalty, and start being as hard on criminals as society has become on cops. This young man had a bright future ahead of him and it was taken by two thugs who more than likely had no future to speak of. Think about that.

My heart goes out to all the families impacted by this tragedy. For those commenting on the young man wearing the Army, “t-shirt”. There is a possibility that someone saw the potential in that young man to sign him up for the Army. It was a great way to redirect his anger and try to channel it to fight for a new cause. Moving forward, I pray that the void from loss be filled. 🙏🏾

I’m just hearing about this news because I’m located in California. But I must say that I’m sad for that young man’s family I have a son too and I couldn’t imagine experiencing that. I’m also embarrassed and feel ashamed that it was my people who did this terrible act. And there’s more than a few bad apples because and we kill each other and others everyday at a high rate. I wonder if this were switched the other way if this would be erring bigger news. Would there be people marching making this about race and shouting “BLM”.
