  • "Mousse vs Foam On Hair | What's The Difference?!" is all about testing the differences between hair mousse and foam. Mousse has come A LONG WAY these past few decades, and it has become quite the versatile product. Foams are still a new thing to me so I wanted to see side-by-side how it compares to a mousse. Try AG Mousse Gel!! I have fine low density hair and i use some TreLuxe serum and then AG Mousse Gel. That Sh*t has HOLD & is light.
    I find that it feels weird until it is COMPLETELY dry.
    Also the plopping you did is Microplopping.
    LOVE the hairspray tip!!
    Looking for ones that have some PVP copolymer helps.
    ALSO, if you have hair you just cant protect at night, some hairspray over dry hair leaves it nice the next morning. Just SOTC.

    Cake is a curl whip, I think it's fluffier than a mousse. That side looked good on you, but I do agree, curls will loosen by end of day. That happens to mine with the Cake brand. Which gel do you like to use?

      Thank you! It's labeled as a curl whip "mousse" and has all the ingredients that would make it a mousse. The "whip" part just sounds like marketing since they have a dessert theme to their products (ie whipped cream lol). My favorite gel is flaxseed gel! It's cheap, leaves no residue, and has a pretty strong hold. I also like Kinky Curly Curling Custard, Uncle Funky's, and Curlsmith in-shower style fixer (can be a little heavy).

    Hi Tiff, I’m Tash!
    I keep looking at you and seeing myself (especially when I used to be a size 7)! More so than anyone else I’ve ever seen on RUclips. Maybe we’re distant cousins!🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Anyway, I love what your doin’, cousin! You are nailing it for us!🎯🎯🎯 I would love to know different makeup shades and lip products you like best, and best color matches in base products for you!💗

      Thanks, Tash! I appreciate the positive feedback 💜💜💜 hmmmm I have had a few people ask about makeup and stuff, but I'm not too good at using it tbh LOL I've been experimenting with using colors more, but my skills are quite subpar 😂 I will definitely attempt to film a makeup video though!

    How many products did you use?

    Your hair looks really pretty and it's getting so long. My hangup about all mousses is that they contain petroleum products and I don't feel good with the idea of applying them on my body. It just does not sound safe to me, so I have decided to avoid them.

      Thank you! And yes, that's true. I'm happy you mentioned this bc I had clips that I was going to insert showing the ingredients of both products. Of course, being me and feeling rushed to get this video out, I forgot to include those clips *sighhhhh* LOL but Cake Mousse actually has quite a bit of petroleum derivatives in its ingredients, and that is something people should be aware of.

      @@tiffanymcnerlin157 it sad that petroleum products are so demonised. Its one of the most researched products and is cleaned up for skin and hair purposes.

    The dry plopping that you're doing is called "micro plopping"

    • @tiffanymcnerlin157
      @tiffanymcnerlin157  3 года назад

      Haha thank you! I knew it wasn't right, but I alwayssss call it dry plopping 😂

      This is something we called scrunch drying in the 80s. I think micro plopping is just a new name for something that's been around for a while.

    • @presleymelrosegaming7785
      @presleymelrosegaming7785 Год назад

      They call it micro plopping instead of scrunch plopping because you use a MICROfiber towel

    • @lvl0rg4n
      @lvl0rg4n Год назад +1

      @@presleymelrosegaming7785 No. Micro is referring to SMALL plopping - you take it up to your roots, scrunch, let it down. Regular plopping also uses a microfiber towel but you leave it up for like 20 minutes.
