    It’s like you read my mind! The front of my wavy hair is very thin but the back is thick and coarse, resulting in so many hair textures that get weighed down at varying points of the drying process so I find that a heavy cast is the best way to keep it all looking at least similar. Thanks for the tips!

      Thank you! Apologies for the late response. I took a bit of a social media break haha
      And yes, I feel you! My hair is fine, but I have straight-ish, wavy, and loosely curly pieces all over my head haha a hard cast makes it all look more uniform so that's why I prefer it :)

    So refreshing to see your personal tips rather than the same ones that are being rehashed all around the internet. Thank you for sharing!
    I'm about to buy my first gel ever (yaaay I'm excited, lol) We have very similar texture and hair needs, so I wonder, have you ever tried Jessicurl Spiralicious Styling Gel? If so, what did you think of it? Strong hold? I believe I need that cast too. (But a pain to find one without / with very little perfume and glycerin.)
    Love your vibe and authenticity. I just found your channel and think I might need to binge watch your content now, lol. So glad to find great wavie info/inspo.

    100% hairspray right before diffusing makes a huge difference. I use the Giovanni hairspray in a continuous spray bottle!

    It seems to be SO difficult to find a Wavy/Curly RUclipsr with, specifically, fine hair. I'm so glad I found you! My hair is very much like yours but bob length. You say your hair "likes protein". I'm not sure how much I'm giving my hair. Is it just your hair or most fine, wavy/curly types that crave it? And how would I know if mine needs it (or more of it)? Ty.

    I relate so much to getting an easy gel cast, I actually prefer using more water after i put some gel on bc of how crunchy my hair gets 😭🤚. Great vid tiff

    • @tiffanymcnerlin157
      @tiffanymcnerlin157  3 года назад +1

      Thank you 💜🙏 yea the hairspray is a game changer. Better hold while being weightless. It could potentially leave your ends feeling crunchy if you spray too close though. But I saw someone today spraying the hairspray into their palm, diluting it with water, and then smoothing it over their damp hair. I might try that. I'm usually lazy tho and just spray it on haha 😂

    When I was younger I used to get such a strong cast but now I barely get one. Going to slow down and try changing my products. Any recommendations for products that help wash out build-up?

    Your curls are so close to mind, it’s crazy! I’ve really been into the Ecoslay Orange Marmalade styler as a curl activator. It helps to form a cast especially before a gel. If you haven’t tried it, you need to!

    • @kasiak3547
      @kasiak3547 3 года назад

      @@tiffanymcnerlin157 no, you used something to lock in the gel but I couldn’t quite tell what it was, before the second layer of gel.

    You don’t use any oil to lock the moisture in your hair? Thanks ☺️

    • @tiffanymcnerlin157
      @tiffanymcnerlin157  3 года назад +3

      Hi ☺️ no, I don't. I only use oils as a pre-poo before I wash. They're too heavy for my hair, and the other ingredients in my products do just fine in preventing water loss until my next wash day (every 3-4 days)

    How many products did you end up using for styling? 2 creams, 2 gels and hairspray?

    • @tiffanymcnerlin157
      @tiffanymcnerlin157  3 года назад +1

      Yes, that's correct. Very little amounts when it comes to the creams though, and you just need to use 1 gel. I love mixing my gels so that's why I used 2 lol
      Your comment made me realize I didn't include products in the description so thank you for that. I added links too if you want to check out a specific product :)

    I tried first time hair gel and its sooo weird. Idk did i do it right it doesnt look dry even tho it is dry. what did i do wrong bruh its not soft and i didnt get a cast

    • @mishie618
      @mishie618 Год назад

      You probably either didn't use enough, didn't apply it evenly, with a wide tooth comb or denman brush, or, you used too much. Too little, or too much can make hair limp. Also, some gels don't form a cast. Some are made to be soft without one. Weird, and I don't like them, because they never hold the style. But try the aussie instant freeze gel. It creates a good cast but is very lightweight so you can use a good amount. Make sure it's totally dry. If any hair feels a little cold, then it's not dry yet. You can scrunch out the crunch with a few drops of oil or with a satin or silk scarf, or bonnet. It works faster and is gentler on your hair. Good luck!
