I worked a blue collar job all my working life. Never could afford a new anything for the most of it. Paying on a house, wife at home raising the young-un's, so I could not afford new. I just can't see paying those high dollar monthly payments on a 40k something motorcycle. Hell I remember the time when you could buy a house for that much money. Sure is a different world than what I grew up in. Great video Big Smitty! Ride that Wing and try and stay cool down there in big Texas!
Man JD I feel you. Just since I’ve been a home owner it’s been crazy. I paid less than $90k for my first house and even the one I’m in now is under $150k. The primary reason I’m not moving or buying another house. I’ve paid less than $40k for almost every truck or car I’ve ever owned. I’m hoping these prices go down soon… thanks for watching and for the comment my friend.

You nailed it with Harley hearing what everyone wanted with the start of the FXLRST and now the bagger line. Pretty exciting to see those CVO's on the road, for the first time in probably 10 years plus you can say wow is that new CVO. Rather then trying to figure out if it was 18,19,20,21 model year lol. Great work my friend!!

It’s crazy because the basic Road Glide with a paint job and the 117” motor is $52k. But these liquid cooled 121” motors with a ton of new tech on them are $10k less… Will be interesting to see how they sell. I appreciate you watching and thanks for the comment!

Harley pricing (along with minimal affordable options) will eventually bite them in the ass. The flow on is people will eventually "settle" for another brand and most likely stick to it. This has a flow on as they now are getting parts and servicing for a different brand.
I agree. Pricing is getting pretty ridiculous on the majority of the HD lineup. Most people I know are buying used or buying other brands. Great comment and thanks for watching!

Hey big guy, agree whole heartedly, I love harley and indian, always have, always will, if not for the new, atleast the old ( like me lol, old but not done yet, like my ol panhead, the whole cut thing is out of control. It hurts us ALL!. Dont want to get started on the whole thing and write a 7 page respone. I hate that and not gonna do it.its just sad & stupid.i get sum of it and just calls for a little respect. I don’t believe they will. But I’d be willing to bet they’re will be a no colors policy in most of the establishments. Unfortunately that’s gonna be the overreach that the state will use.
Truckin Biker doesn't have your schtick down quite perfectly but at least he got the one line right. That was hilarious, especially him drinking the beer, LMAO!
I'm with you, $42,000 is still way out of the everyman's budget and ability to pay. Bikes are ridiculously expensive. My local Honda dealer priced their base Wing out the door for me at $26K and change. That to me is a LOT more bike than anything else on the market, and for way less than anyone else wants. It has Honda reliability and the grunt of that flat 6 1800. Why go elsewhere... Also, for $42,000 and up, you can buy a pretty nice car. I guess it's all priorities.
My question is, how did HD achieve this price point? Did they cut corners on the bike, or did they merely reduce profit margin? Either way, it smacks of bad decisions.
Interesting distraction with your dog. I could hear a dog barking in the background just before that and wondered what was going on. I enjoyed hearing the story.
People have no idea how hard it is to be a content provider, and by that term I mean people who produce videos, or are vendors, or concert promoters, anything where the public consumes what they're delivering. We just show up and magically everything is just "there", and we never see all the work that goes into it. Just like your videos - it takes time to stand in front of the camera, re-do certain scenes, edit the footage, upload it and reply to all the comments. I look at many like Fortnine who use multiple cameras, drones, special effects, inserts, and all kinds of stuff to create what they do and I appreciate it. Most just watch and don't think about that. Same with concerts and rallies. We show up and never give a thought to all the planning and behind the scenes work that went in to it. It just magically appears. A friend of mine always bitches that he has to pay to enter a gun show, but the facility has to be rented, insurance has to be paid for, security and law enforcement have to be on site, etc. People have no concept of the work and costs to put on an event or be a vendor. Anyway, it's a shame people have to ruin things for everyone else.
I assume your viewership is still growing, if at a slower clip now. I haven't been paying attention but haven't seen any new milestone notices. I was growing by the day for about the last year, and now it's completely stalled out and steady at 316. I have no idea why suddenly people started following me and were being pulled in my direction, and I have even less idea why that has stopped. I don't care either way. It interests me, but if people watch, they watch, if they don't, they don't.

Wearing no colors to me is like telling me that you can't carry a gun in our business. Also about the price of motorcycles and I heard honda goldwing touring is going to increase the goldwing engine to a 2000cc. The sad part about buying any new harley is not all lights are led like Indian, honda, bmw just to name a few. Well I said my peace for this video and thanks again Smitty for another great video 📹

I dig the new CVOs…despite all the butt hurt HD owners shit slinging I think HD is heading the right direction with this. Yeah, that’s a shame with the Rallies. Not sure if it’s impacting the East Coast. Colors flying in Laconia and this week. I counted at least 4 booths for supporting _____(not mentioning club). Good stuff Smitty! And I completely agree on the rallies being shut down is gonna fuck up the money flow for a lot vendors and not to mention the local businesses that count on that bump in revenue
I appreciate you doing the intro my friend! Yeah man the CVO’s are super nice but too rich for my blood. I hope the rallies keep going. That’s an important revenue source for a lot of people.
I do appreciate the new features that Harley has put into the bikes but unfortunately I don't like the look of any of them now.. honestly preferred the look of the Indian bike that you showed that black paint job blacked out. Even the style and design was better looking than the CVO in my opinion... As for the cost of the motorcycles... It's even worse up north... $69000 Canadian .. just not happening . $50,000 a year salary 20 years ago was great money. Things were not as expensive.. It's to the point where both people in the family making $50,000 a year almost isn't enough.. $700,000 homes in Canada... Cars that cost 100 grand almost... The price has went up so much on everything that it does not match the salary that anyone other than rich people. . Last time I checked majority of people are not rich and we're the ones that are supposed to be buying this stuff.... I'm to the point where I can just build my own bike for a fraction of the cost and make it look better than what is released to us that we can't even afford..
$69k!!! Wow! That’s crazy! And I’m with you, with all the different parts vendors it’s almost easier to buy a bike stripped down and build it up for much cheaper than a stock bike costs. The middle class and blue collar jobs are being phased out. It takes a ton of money just to survive these days… thanks for the comment and for watching Jack!

Also you really need to take your dog to the vet because he or she could get a deep infection and you need to bring the stick with you to the vet and explain what happened. I know they will probably x-ray your dogs paw and give him or her antibiotics. Later Hades
We did. That Wednesday she had an appointment and we took her in. Vet checked it out and gave her an antibiotic just to be sure.
These MC's need to just use there fist to resolve a problem and leave their weapons home, anybody can shoot a gun or swing a knife 🔪. I could talk forever about this subject 🤔 later Hades
