Two sweet Corvettes showed up to the track and I was lucky enough to catch a few of their races.

This was filmed at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison Colorado.
Elevation is just under 6000 feet above sea level.

If the high elevation comment is true then the z06 is at a more than normal disadvantage. High altitude/low density makes much less difference on forced induction engines than naturally aspirated.

I own a zr1 and the person trying their hand at this racing thing is just that. They were trying. The ZR1 in the right hands will crush any other corvette and yes even the new c8.

C6 Zr1 is a great deal even if you have new car money then the new C7 ZO6. Save money go fast parts! If you can get over the plastic/ cheap interior...

And the Red Z06 driver was asleep a few times, but nearly as fast. In the hands of professionals, the C6 Z0 is just a hair slower than the ZR.... A few tenths and a few mph.

Michael Harris a hair are you kidding? Those so called pros are nuts!!!! Stock on Stock the Zr1 has 132hp more power @ crank. This is probably driver mod to the 10th degree bro!!

A ZO6 with just an upgraded exhaust, intake and cam is faster than a stock ZR1. The C6 ZO6 is ridiculously fast man as is the ZR1

The c8 does a 11.2 quarter mile the 11 year older Zr1 does 11.3, pretty impressive.

those are horrible times for both of those cars. need wayyyyyy better drivers. the new bone stock camaro runs better times with only 455 hp. shit my mustang with only 340 hp runs 13s. Badass cars in the hands of the wrong people.
