- Universal Studios Florida is bringing the heat this summer and we are here to experience it! We’ll check out the Epic Universe preview center, as well as DreamWorks Land, a whole new land themed around the popular animated movies like Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda, and with it we’ll try a whole range of food from Trolls-themed ice cream cones to Shrek-themed pretzels. We are here to see the debut of the Mega Movie Parade which celebrates some of the best movies from 1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s, and more! And we’ll end the night with the new night time spectacular CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular. Come with us on this adventure!

That parade was like my childhood turned into a parade in parts. I think the Ghostbuster part would have been better has the four of them been dancing in front of the float like the music video or the end credits to the cartoon!

Hey Peter I wanted to thank you once again for the picture and it was so nice to meet you in person. Truly I was very nerves coming up to and to asking for a picture. Sorry I didn't get one with Kitra too. I was on vacation for a week there and meeting someone I've watched for a very long time and convince me to take the trip out there was EPIC! OMG thank you for this! Have to admit teared up a bit seeing my fav movies in the parade. The Jaws float. That movie, first I love it, but second brings back massive memories. It's the first movie I ever saw at a drive in with my parents, they loved drive inn's. That one and OG Star Wars, epic summer's at the drive inn. Can't even with the back to future one, my cousins from Germany where here that summer, and we saw that movie at least four times at west edmonton mall.

I want Epic Universe to open in Australia as I would put my hand up for the Wizarding World as I would give information to visitors. Also, the Kung Fu Warrior interaction with Po could've done with a bit more touching up
I don’t think universal is planning any parks in Australia but one is coming to the UK

💯 universal is killing it lately
I think i may have some insight on the parade music volume. There are dB limits for safety and given the length of the parade and the possoble need to pause/sit they likely needed to keep it lower for hearing exposure.
I don’t think that’s the issue. I think it was a tech issue where music is supposed to be coming out of the speakers along the parade route and instead it was only coming from the floats. It was one of the mess ups with this technical rehearsal. We edited around it in the video so you can’t really see what we mean but basically the dancers were often dancing to no music

I think you're right, Kitra. That absolutely is you guys in the concept art. I think it's their nod to you for bringing them so much free advertisement. You talked about the opening so much during your China adventures that it probably attracted quite a number of people. Plus since you guys also do Disney parks, you make comparisons & I think you may really have their ear.

I get that Spirit wasn't one of their major blockbuster films, but I would give anything to get some representation of their 2d era in the park.
I know it's completely unlikely, but I would love one of the missing floats to be Spirit themed.
