The Top Professor.
In this context, a Professor refers to a New Orleans style pianist of the highest regard. Professor Longhair comes to mind. Jelly Roll Morton - Mr Jelly Lord etc.
For my appearance on Boardwalk Empire S2 I was referred to as The Professor.
I had a chance to shift in to Top Professor mode with @michaelcrusemusic up in Harlem at the Renaissance last night. Great fun with the homies.
