Russell placed 2nd in the Regular Division Championship. He is a member of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band and functions as the piano player for the White House.

I feel you. I started off with The Entertainer and I enjoyed so I looked up the genre and I was hooked after.
That was the first channel I looked for on Pandora, too.
This is one of the best sounding upright pianos I've ever heard - anyone know what it is? There are a number of videos of this piano being played.
I believe it’s an extended upright don’t know which one specifically but they always sound better as the hammer mechanism is more likened to a grand. Hope this helps

I suspect that's partly down to how it's miced up. The strikes and notes sound very close.

Excellent! Does anyone know where I can find this upbeat and clever version (or similar fashion) played with jazz instruments and really good bass?? I don't want singing though. It's been driving me nuts trying to find something like this. I like how he works in other short pieces to form a medley.

I suppose he played about 4 seconds, made a mistake, started over, and got it right the second time but with some visible but not audible indicator of the mistake at the beginning of the second try, then they spliced all the good parts together for the video.
I would be curious to know what it looked like before the edit.

I really do not understand how Mr. Wilson did not get 1st. The person who got first, Swanson, has the least viewed videos of all here on RUclips! He seems to play a whole different style of music. And Mr. Wilson here is so much more connected to the music... shame you didn't win sir!

How old is this piano? Guess it was in 19 century from the shell. But the string sound must be changed at 20 century. Good play.
