About the United States Marine Corps:
The Marine Corps defends the people of the United States at home and abroad. Within every Marine is the willingness to engage and determination to defeat any adversary, and it is this fighting spirit that allows us to fight and win our Nation’s battles.
The mission of the United States Marine Corps is made up of three promises: We make Marines, we win our Nation’s battles, and we develop quality citizens prepared to fight and win battles.
You don’t join the Marines-you become one, forged in the crucible of training aboard our recruit depots on Parris Island, South Carolina, and in San Diego, California, or through the dedication required of officer candidates at Officer Candidates School in Quantico, Virginia. Beyond the physical requirements, aspiring Marines must prove they have the honor, courage, and commitment to face and defeat any obstacle.
Today, more than 180,000 enlisted Marines and 23,000 Marine Officers serve in active duty or reserve forces on bases and in communities around the world, proudly carrying with them the core values of the Marine Corps.

2nd Biggest Air Force in the world, Navy/Marines
The AH-1w SuperCobra and AH-1z Super Cobra / Viper are my personal favorites. I've always loved the Bell Huey line of helicopters.
Damn I love being a Marine!!!
20+ years of working with the Super Stallion.. semper fi
The corps should adopt the A10's
Peter Larsen is coming is not useing a ground support aircraft f22 f14 and 18s and harriers only
To much money is what my dad tells me so they just ask the AF instead
They're already too op if you add them up with the flying brttttt it will be over kill
The Harrier is still in use. The F-35B's that were supposed to replace it were delayed due to technical issues. Same with the F-16. Plenty of Falcons are still in use today. Even the Thunderbirds are still using the F-16.
the chinookes we still use for putting in a crap load of Marines in one run at once and the Harrier is great too ive flown in one but takes a long ass time to take off vertically unless your doin a standard take off and the main vehicle Marines use are Osprey's they go twice as fast as a standard helicopter but theyre all good vehicles go Marines!!
I’m hoping the young marines program will help me get to being one of the marine fighter pilots.
Marines are #1
these guys are next level!
Ch 53 e are the best
Marines- We have some planes.
Air Force- Tell us where you need them taken to.
A lot of people in the Wing go out in the flight line everyday, so how they "pencil pushing"?
Ron Paul is the man.
I'm going in enlisted in the marine corps as infantry, then after 2 years I'll us the gi bill to go to college, after that what is the best way I can get on the path to be a viper or supercobra pilot
If only the Royal Marines were this well funded
My beloved CH-46A-E has been replaced by the MV-22B.... Times are a changing....
Is the huey still used today the same way it was used in Vietnam, as in how common it is and the roles it serves and such
a bit late, but i still think it's important
sort of, except that there are some fundamental differences and developments in tactics and deployment.
For instance there used to be huey gunships, now there are not, but regular hueys with a slight amount of additional armament. The majority of the "gunship" role is left to the ah-1z that is much better for the role, carries more ordinance etc.
nowadays there is also a heavy emphasis on sensors and allowing everyone in a battle-space to access those sensors, even if they are on a different vehicle than yours. One of the major developments in this regard is the f-35, which basically acts like a communications hub.
I believe that the A10's are only used by the Air Force
It would be nice if the Corp would adopt the F-18 super hornet
mcv-22
In the 1970's yes.
Look the gunners! Like
Harriers are being replaced by F35s in 2014 too..
The USMC do not operate A10's
Good/Cool for STOVL is an understatement. To have an airplane that can land basically anywhere in the world is a pretty big attribute. Also, most of the U.S. airplanes are outdated. The F-16 is from 1978 and the Harrier II is from 1985. So that slow, ugly, outdated, under equipped piece of shit is newer than a F-16. The thing is that even though they're old planes, they're good enough. They do their jobs to the expectation needed and perform "good enough."
BuIIsEye I'll be honest. I can understand why many ridicule the Harrier. But Just because the it can't break the sound barrier doesn't mean it can't out maneuver many other fighters. I can hear you thinking WTF? The Pilots take advantage for the thrust vectoring of the jet to allow it to do so.
3:46 looks like obama
RIP Phrogs..
Why didnt they show the A10 Warthog
FeLoN RecKs no A-10s in the corps
IYAOYAS
Alright...but that doesn't mean he should be president, now don't get me wrong he seems like a very kind man with good intentions BUT... I don't think that he is the man for the job, I think Mitt is, and I support him.
Who?
NObama
Rip prowlers
No I was talking about the politics not the Marines. Cause everyone knows Marines are badass ; w;
2:47 Canadians eh.
why?
Please buy the A-10 Warthog *stolen by puggyman please don’t kill me in the comments
What, the marines have their own Airforce? lol
All branches have aircraft.
Marines are air land and sea
Yeah where have you been?
David K. But the marines and army aircraft crew aren't pampered
Mitt Romney 2012 ^.^
That's true, maybe he can't imagine my lifestyle, but with someone who made that much money, as you said, could fix it, but in my opinion it's not just about looking at how we live and doing whatever to fix it, it's about the wisdom, and the experience to lead, but it is good to see we agree about Obama, heh.
To bad they don't use the F-35.
But they do?
yeah they do
F-35 C
Oil thieves
no ones stealing any oil
@@cowfat8547 nice joke
@@salmanzakaria1029 not a joke it’s the truth
That's like saying the stone wheel was a slow, ugly, overrated, outdated, under equipped piece of shit.
Pencil pushing freaking motards.
