I really like how you've included both warmer and colder weather items in your wardrobe. I'm looking to pare down and this is very motivating. Thanks for the video.
Hi Beke. Im a new subscriber to your channel. I live in North Brisbane too. Your minimalist capsule wardrobe is very inspiring. We do have great Winters here. I couldn't imagine living anywhere South. 🥶
Hi. Thank you for subscribing and for your comment. I am on the Fraser Coast, and winter is definitely my favourite of the year here. Though I can not stand summer most of the time, it's definitely good for us minimalists. 😂
Ever since i bought my lululemon leggins and biker shorts i got rid of literally all my other leggins around (10) i think now a day quality and comfort is my priority. Greetings from south Florida usa🎉
With so little clothing, the items will wear out much quicker and the laundry cycles will be every 2nd day. I'm not a minimalist. I have 54 clothes, excluding sleepwear (2 winter PJs and 2 summer) and underwear, 8 pairs of shoes. Accessories = 2 beanies, 2 winter hats, 1 scarf, 1 pair of gloves. The above covers all 4 seasons, (Spring/ Summer 27 clothes and equally for Autumn/Winter). home and work, special events. I live in regional Victoria. I know that l wear 80% of my wardrobe throughout the year and they get worn out by the third year. I launder my clothes once a week. The 20% are my special occasion dresses for weddings, birthdays etc.
Queenslander here too. I live south of you, but we live in a bit of a wind corridor, and I feel the cold. Really interested to see how your experiment goes .
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! The funny thing about where I live, is that alot of people still wear a lot of warmer clothing and say they don't like colder weather. But I love Winter here, it's cool but the sun is still warm. So unless it's over cast or we are having a very cold windy day, I love sitting in the sun to warm up.
the only reason I own so much is cold weather, a toddler and a heavy periods. if I lived in a warmer climate and didn't have a crazy period and an older child, I would own at least half of what I own now.
@extrememinimalism and that's why it's so interesting when we all get to see what other people's minimalism is like, because we live in different places and experience different things. My kids and husband are not very minimalist, but we all do what we can 😀
I have slowly been getting rid of clothes. I want to get down to only having a couple outfits. I just curious on how many times a week do you do laundry.
As a family of 4, there is usually enough washing each day to a load a day, or if I skip days, I'll do a few loads on the next day. It's really frustrating, but that's kids for you. For me personally, depending on the weather and what I've done, I can get in a load of my own there every 2nd or 3rd day. Less items can mean regular washing, but it really depends on the individual and different things you wear etc. There's always that idea of wash one, wear one, spare one. So really, that is 3 outfits and when your washing it all, you could be wearing pjs type clothes while you wait.
Hi. Sometimes they are "just clothes" but they also feel comfortable. I wear the things I like, but they have to feel comfortable on, which comfortable also means confident. I grew up in surfing towns, with parents who were surfer hippies/boho, so growing up, I liked shorts, long skirts, hoddies, surf shirts, and bikinis. In my late teens and 20s, I was more gothic, so my love of black has always been there.

I want to know how you'd layer that for colder mornings.
Here in Qld, I would wear the pants, the singlet under a tee shirt and the thick jumper.

Complimenti per la tua essenzialità!
How often do you do laundry? Thx!
Good for you!! [I] Couldn’t do it!
You should give it a go :)
@@BekeDownes no!! I am a lolita and a maximalist but wanted to see someone else’s perspective!!
That's cool 😀

Do you love all the items and feel good in them? Or is it 'just' clothes for you?
