Even when you mess up a sentence, you never stutter, you just slow down and think of a word or words that fits best and you keep on going acting like you meant to say every word you spoke. That's a sign of a master talker.

For finger holes I've heard you can use a piece of copper pipe held with some pliers/grips and heated at the other end, then you can melt vertical (or whatever angle you want) holes to whatever depth and diameter (use whatever diameter pipe fits your fingers) you want.

Sweet vid. Have an idea that I've used in the past.. cannot take the credit as learned it from a kaizen event. Trace and out cut with the razor through a few layers leaving tools a little proud. Wrap tools in aluminum foil. Lightly heat area with heat gun and place wrapped tools to desired depth. It perfectly fits tools. Either way awesome vid. Thank you.

Great vid! I was in the Air Force many moons ago and worked on the flight-line. I got out in 86. I always liked how our tools were fitted in to foam just like the Kaizen foam today. I think they used a hot wire tool to do it back then. The organization had the purpose of lowering the amount of fod (foreign object damage) done to an aircraft engine, and it also helped to keep your tools organized. Since getting out, I have always wanted to do this with my tools, and I have to admit, the Kaizen foam makes it easy.

If you have the depth in your box, make the hole for your chargers (or any tools with cords) a little deeper. You can stash the cords under the tool, no cord mess.
And like said before, keep a thin layer of foam for the lid. Otherwise, good video for "shadowing" tools.

Fantastic video as always Vince. @VCG Construction has lots of good ideas. I wish someone, maybe Milwaukee even, would sell a packet of templates that were the right size and shape of various tools. That way you could use them to layout the foam and not have to trace around the tools. Seems simple enough - they know what each tool shape is. Maybe not every tool they sell, but all the common ones you would put in a packout box.

Vince, I’d throw a layer of foam under the lid and cut down the bottom piece underneath, that way the tops of the tools aren’t hitting the lid plastic and rubbing, and anything heavy on top is less likely to squish the tools.
This way, the tools are completely encompassed in foam for full protection!
