Venti's origin story is so heart touching.. a boy who fought for freedom for his people but then died when they won the battle. Character design wise, he seems like he's a gentle but determined person, really fit with the story
Talking about Venti I don't want to imagine all the pain and suffering his friend's death must caused him, when he was named archon, he still choose the image of his friend to manifest himself as a memento: a bard to sing all of the songs that his friend couldn't and to show the world who was the real "savior" of Mondstadt imagine to lose a dear person to you and then practically *"be"* them, carrying their image with you for the rest of your life, haunting you forever, remembering you, that no matter what, you can't escape the past, people see Venti as a lazy boy who loves to drink, when the real reason behind that (leaving aside the fact that he loves wine) is because he's carrying a *2000 years like* depression, and now he lost his other friend too, Dvalin, I feel like now we can somewhat *"heal"* him, we are his friend now, he trusts us *(he even offered us to be one of the four winds)* he deserves to be happy as a god and as Venti :(

I love his story I legit would trade all my characters just to get venti or get to play as him, his story is heartbreaking. “VENTI BEST BOY”
I really love Venti so much. His story quest had me tears. What a compelling and nuanced character; there really aren't enough words to describe it. He is carrying so much on his shoulders, and the weight of his past is heavy. I can certainly see why he and Zhongli are friends. They have a lot more in common than you'd initially believe.
same, initially I'd thought that venti was kind of pathetic as an archon unlike zhongli, I mean he's a drunkard, easily bribed with wine, probably homeless, doesn't seem like a serious guy and he kinda let what happened in old monstadt happen again in the new one but after playing his story quest I actually really grew to like his character and the part where he sang a short song actually made me teared up a bit
this piece of music is one that can't be forgotten: just like ventis story quest, it's a problem that can't be solved. a song that cannot be completed.

I don’t think you realize how amazing your arrangement is. It has those, I like to call, Asian notes where they just hit every angle of your feels lmfao. It’s seriously beautiful and I can’t express any more of how it makes me connect to it but I almost feel like I can understand the emotion. Venti is really gentle and sensitive under the cover of a drunk from the street, I can't imagine what he feels when he looks into a mirror or a surface of water and sees his friend .. what a terrible feeling it must be, living the body of his dead friend. if only I could meet him, I would hug him with tears in my eyes. I adore him.

With a cup of wine in his hands To the highest point in an abandoned place he went. A cliff.. Where he used to exchange laughter with his friend. As the flavour of the wine awakens his taste buds.. The memories awaken his longing for an old friend. As the north wind blows onto his face.. His tears dried up. Yet the stinging pain in his heart.. Would not cease.
And so, the Stormterror threat was quelled. I clarified the misunderstanding to the citizens of Mondstadt, and let them know that they are safe. To them it seems Stormterror attacked Mondstadt out of nowhere, and then vanished just as quickly. They must be finding the whole ordeal very confusing. However, winds change their course. Someday, they will blow towards a brighter future.
This makes me think about how Venti told us at the start of the game that he too was corrupted, while trying to communicate with Dvalin. I really want to know how he coped with it, since he must have a lot of negative feelings from everything he experienced in his 2300+ years of living.

idk but genshin really changed something in me inspired me, got me out from almost becoming a psychopath from the loads of stress causing mental trouble cz of covid. made me an otaku and anime lover, Its really true, Otaku's save world (^^ ! Out of topic but it’s a nitpick of mine that Venti’s character is misunderstood. A lot thinks that he doesn’t care about his nation at all when he was the one who fought for his nation’s freedom and even helped with the Stormterror incident. He even made the wind blow for Klee during the Weinlesefest.
ok i know Venti's backstory is painful and all, but what about Decarabian, God of Storms, that Venti and his friend fought ? why no one looks to the other side of the story ? he did his best to protect old Mondstadt from Andrius's ice that covered all the lands, only after some years to be betrayed by his own people and even his beloved one turned on him and led a rebellion against him, just because they wanted to see the blue skies behind his barrier again, how could a God die that easily to mortals and a newly born wind spirit, even his death would destroy all stormterror lair without leaving a single soul, Havria, the weakest to ever exist among gods her death explosion wiped most of her people, what about the death of a powerful god who already ruled Mondstadt even before the Archon war in a time that gods were everywhere, he protected mortals in his own way, and they called him a tyrant and betrayed him just because he caged them for their own safety, and was hurt by their betrayal and maybe accepted his death in a way that won't wipe the entirety of Mondstadt, i would say this ost, at least to me when i hear it, is about Decarabian, not Venti .
