Here's a (fairly short) extended version of the original piece :)
I improvised a little bit to bridge two repetitions of the original score together, from 0:30 to 1:50, as well as added a short ending cadence. I really didn't want to take away from the original piece as it's so beautiful. ^^

For those of you who don’t know, the original song is about 30 seconds long and only plays when you first meet Xiao at Wangshu inn.
May I ask why it's played on that scene?

I think because of Zhongli's Erosion on his heart, he failed to realize his love for Guizhong

@@iwontbesilenced2321 i wouldn't call it a waste of potential since the world building is already impressive for me and if you want some character progression, you can also play honkai impact
The fact is that you may never read the whole story. Because some Chinese players, more specifically, Chinese female players do not like Guizhong.

@@pluavia7341 They love Zhongli too much. Some of them are serious, Guizhong's story will ruin their fantasy. And here's a hidden rule of Chinese game, never claim your character has a heterosexual lover.
I.... I think Zhongli loved Guizhong but was never able to understand what love truly is until she was no more. And so, he will long for that feeling of love for eternity. Immortality is a curse for his broken heart, because it will be preserved and never heal. Ok I'm crying now
I kinda feel like Zhongli loved Guizhong, but he was cold and his heart wasn’t familiar at something like that during that time, he was too late when he realized he loved her. Now until this day he remembers the memories of him together with her while he looks at the glaze lilies.

You say to Zhongli in a whispering tone, He walks towards you and hugs you "There's no need to worry about me. You've always wanted to be with your sibling, right?" He says as he wipes your tears "Know that you will always shine like gold, in my memories." He tells you in a reassuring voice. Your sibling taps on your shoulder. "C'mon let's go." You look at your siblings with a hurt but happy smile. "Lets go." You walk away from Zhongli but he grabs your hand "Traveler. Please, keep this, as a memory of you being here in Teyvat." You gladly accept his gift and hug him one last time "I'll miss you.." He responds "I'll miss you to." as you walk away, Zhongli looks at you with a face of mixed emotions, you couldn't tell what he was feeling or thinking, You wave goodbye to him as you travel to another world. And yet another one of his beloved friends, leave him once more.

Seriously Mihoyo, those 2 character missions and main Archon quest literally changed how I felt about Zhongli, and now I have him in my team I can never bench him.

Sometimes as we enjoy the things we love most we forget the reality of things. It's nice to dream a reality in which we can thrive in with our most valued people.
It's what I think Zhongli thinks everyday and well I can't say I don't too. Maybe it's just a way to live but either way, it's both a lonely and lively eternity to live isn't it?

I imagine the beginning as when Guizhong sings the lullaby with Morax present. And then the extended part plays as flashbacks of the peaceful times they spent together, with flashbacks of the war and Guizhong's death. Finally, ending with her promise with Morax. To Morax watching over the glaze lilies alone reminiscing(?) The promise.

To the people out there, the cover is freaking amazing!! But there's one thing - the song's name isn't "Guizhong's Lullaby", i think its fan-made?? (not sure??). However the official name of the song is "Lovers' Oath", you can find it in the official Genshin Impact ost. This song plays when we meet Xiao in Lantern event sooo yeah :/ Idk why people think it's about Zhongli and Guizhong
