So mages ^^ and gems will not help you much. Use spitefull to stay alive longer and you could go for moss thorn if you are by any chance using 6pc banquet+void. Its a passive pressure on them to back Up. Batlleguard always good to survive longer but anti cc (stun knockback) can only BE achived through reforges. Tremor perks. They get strifed in pvp (50% lower then description) but it is still something. Leap pants kars defiance for anti knockback, then some Chance by reforges and then longlivity for finishing towers.
I'm soo not a fan of everyone getting some kind of summon build. If they just focused on our actual summons, sure. Or maybe it's more like Dauntless legs and not literal summons. Never know with the way Blizzard is so terrible at writing tooltips and descriptions that actually let us know how the hell stuff works. But this wave of everyone procing a ton of shadow copies and clones and apparitions and spirits, I'd just rather Cleave be Cleave or they lean into Decollater. New stuff is always exciting though. Sure I'll have fun!

Any changes/updates with the new essences coming out? Feels like i spend a lot of time chilled/frozen but haven't found a combo that works better.

Excellent question, they are usually swarming me to get me off the tower, so not sure about who.
Yes, AoB has been going well, but shadow war has been pretty challenging. Battlemaster would help with the freezes but losing the duration sucks

Currently what i see is a mega ton of passive dmg. Hammer is crazy, cleave is crazy... We kill by accidentally passing by xD
