    I never go yabbing hence living down here theres barely any fw except for rivers and private damns but i still lover watching The BYOAT(best yabbier of all time) 👍👍

    Robbie I ran across an old video on the LachlanCMA channel on "How to Catch, Prepare and Cook Carp" and old mate had an interesting take on getting bone free non muddy tasting flesh off a carp. Also, I found the comment section worth a read.

      @@robbiefishing Yep! IDK HOW some1 snuck them in from WA, but they ARE in certain spots! Only 2 thankfully in CLOSED systems!
      They are a noxious species here because they would wipe OUT the other Crustacea in fresh water we have here they are so aggressive!

    Mate, if you ever come to the US of A, swing by Utah, I can take you to Strawberry Reservoir. In 2 hours I've caught 200 yabbies and that's pretty normal. I don't know why there are millions and millions in that one lake.

    Hey Robbie just recently put some nets in the creek and caught a dozen small yabbies for an adventure at Waranga basin however not a single shrimp was caught, were we unlucky or is it still to cold you reckon

      Hi mate, still too early for shrimp I reckon. In my area I don't usually see too many until November. I do have placed where I can get them in October. I've never caught them this early though.

    You need to suspend your baits Robbie. Most of the yabbies are eating the bait from the outside of the net. You'll get way more if you suspend the bait

    I find with those traps its good to suspend the bait using a couple of zip ties so it stays central and the dont just eat the bait from outside the cage.. bring on the Yabbying Robbie.. great video still. Instant thumbs up

      @@theshadyspot9932 I use string to tie into the middle of the trap, whatever trap I use. Good point. Pyramids are another that the yabs sit outside and pick if you do not suspend the bait. One of my vids explains me doing this.

      @@theshadyspot9932 You would have to check your state's regulations mate. Different states have different regs on modifying traps and nets.
