Simon: "Albert, do you have any words of wisdom?" Albert: "For you? Get that camera out of my face!" 🤣 All kidding aside, mad respect for Albert for coming to Antarctica on his own at 82. Another example of anything being possible if you put your mind to it.
I have loved this 7 continents series and am so pleased we get to see more of Antarctica. Hope you can let us know what a stay o that ship costs.. it’s an absolute once in a lifetime dream trip. Your videos are so inspiring and help us that can’t afford to travel as much enjoy the world through your eyes. Keep it up Simon 🙏👍
@@masud7104 it wasn't that expensive because it was last minute, its that expensive all the time, its normally more than that in fact, upwards of 12-15k even. I am fairly certain that he didnt book this last minute though, thats the story, but he must have booked it ahead of time. Theres literally no way he would coincidentally manage t find an available space on an Antarctic trip that happened to leave at the exact time he needed, thats simply not true. Its a good series, but it was planned much more than hes making out im afraid. Ive been to Antarctica, I know how infrequent the ships leave, and how full they always are.
@David Knight oh well, that's the story he's been telling us. I unfortunately won't be able to confirm it, but if what you've said is true, that's just misleading from him.
This was a great walkthrough of the ship. The old dude is truly a bad ass running triathlon at 81!. Can't wait to see more content from the bottom of the Earth ala Simon Wilson!
How this man doesn’t have millions of subscribers baffles me. Your videos kept me going during the first lockdown Simon and really helped with my mental health to distract me. Genuinely get excited when you upload a new video 👌
I’ve watched the last episode of the 7 Continents in 7 Days 4 times. Thank you for sharing an experience that I would have never thought I needed to do! Your series’ are out there inspiring people to get out and see the world so please keep it up! Hope you’re well, love the vids ❤
Good on Albert, 82 and clearly on top of his game. Reminds me a bit of a couple that had their 50th anniversary in Antarctica on the ship I was on about 10 years ago. Smaller ship too, Drake Passage was rough - but we got longer landings because of the way the rules worked at the time. Each ship had the same amount of time, and a maximum amount of people could land at once. We could do two landings in our slots, while larger ships had to do 3 or 4 so each group was onshore for a shorter time; and the 400+ passenger ships did not do landings. Oh, and Port Lockroy is a UK museum and base which is why its a UK post office. Damned nice place on a good weather day. I have to agree with Simon, cameras can't do Antarctica justice. Being surrounded by it, even just from on a ship, is something so different from any screen.
I will never have the balls to do what you boys do, but i appreciate all of your adventures and knowing how having some confidence and a want for adventure is inspiring!! Keep it up Simon, I am sure 2023 will be a wild one
Amazing content Simon, I always save your videos for when I am eating. You've gotten me through some very stressful times. Bring on the 1M subs and thank you for the videos you make, you are an inspiration!

Just my luck to make a comment on the first Antarctica vid about Skint and you answer it in this. Should have watched this one first 🤣 The access you got to the Captain and the snap decisions he has to make. Incredible dude
Great video. I’m a flight attendant and have done 6 continents. My bucket list dream is to step foot on every continent. Antarctica is my last one. Saving up for this ❤
