This is the first boat that felt like home, and it's all because of that grill. Makes you feel like a homeowner grillin' in your backyard.
💯👌🏻🙌🏻
0
If only the grill was 12inches lower so you could see over the top of it at the view when grilling....
Zero foung schwei. Big ol tall grill in a tiny spot with hardly room to cook or hang out with the one that’s cooking.
That's a big ol home depot grill station. I'd lose it in favor of something smaller than can be mounted on the transom or somewhere.
Looks like it's straight out of a 70s Bond film
Awesome boat love it
I was waiting for the bow to open and a mini sub to emerge.
Have to appreciate the time, effort and money invested into this floating condo. Really spectacular craftsmen with incredible attention to detail. She really shows like new hard to believe it's a 50 year old boat.
Boats and planes...last forever if you keep up the maintenance.
I love these huge boats for under $1million, show us more!
Modern yacht designers may need to look to the past , for future concept ideas , love the layout 👍🙂
... and build the smallest 74' interior you have ever seen. This is 74' and has only 2 sleeping rooms.
@@MrMartwy 3* and you have the couch’s tbh I’d rather have the cool living space and just a couple rooms especially for a live aboard if it’s just a couple this boat is beautiful and would also be great to bring friends out for a day or weekend trip
@@MrMartwy depends on how many ppl you would want to be on board. If you have only four members of family, and you have 74' boat with 5 rooms..... that is a true wasting of space.
This is a monster! Tons of boat for the price. Thanks for the tour Victoria & Rico!
So glad you enjoyed it
She's perfect. The boat is nice too.
She's an AMAZING boat! Extremely comfortable!
C est avec un très grand plaisir que je regarde toutes vos vidéos. Il y en a pour tout le monde dans vos choix de bateaux. Belles descriptions, commentaires et toujours dans la bonne humeur. Merci a vous deux. Continuez comme ça. Franck (France,Loire Atlantique).
Never get tired of looking at that aft.
wow , the layout just blows me away and for the price the boat is amazing.......if only it had some beer on tap it would be paradise.
Haha! Here we go with the beer on tap again
@@NautiStyles Beer, the best beverage you can rent !
This is exactly what I want, spacious, big, beautiful, and inexpensive for it's size and the work that was done on it. I'm ready to move in, come on lottery! lol
Yees! Wishing you all the luck!!!
It they gave it to me, I am quite sure the cost of operation is more than I could handle!!!
That hammock had it's best day... : )
Makes me want to live on the water! Oh wait, I already do. Just a little more. Very relaxing vibe. I have watched this four or five times. That truly would be a fantastic live aboard for a retired couple. Hmm. Sounds like my Honey and me.
For $500k you get to live on the water with the best views. A really good option for a couple
But for 50 years the lady has been in very good shape. By renovating a beautiful Yacht again. ⚓👌🛥♥️
Yes!!! Such an amazing yacht
I love that boat I always like the older ones 1949 Chris Craft restorative from scratch but I loved everything they did to that boat they had lots of extra room thank you and have a awesome weekend
Awesome, thanks for watching James 💙🙏🏻
OMG! A Real Frig, A Real "Livingroom"!! I would buy that yesterday if I had the money!! You guys should consider buying that. It's much more spacious for you and your dog than what you have at the moment.
it would be a LOT more room 🙈😝
I am with you. As for me, I have a lot of pets whose spine holds ink laden paper with time honored wisdom. Thus, bookcases that would fit to avoid obstructing the windows would be my thing. Also, heat/air depending on where work took me.
Extraordinary yacht for the price. I really like the period vibe. Excellent video! Thanks, Victoria and Rico!
Yeay, so glad to hear that!
That hammock deserves it's own episode! HAHAHA!
Lol
This Bertram has some great features. The grill. The hammock. The low time on engines and generator. You didn't mention anything about air conditioning. I really like the upper and lower salon spaces. Great tour. Rico really is good with the camera. Nice dingy. 🙃😉
Haha! No AC on this one, but you will only need it maybe 2 weeks out of the year in MDR
@@NautiStyles Im so used to
vegas weather I forget the rest of the world is different. Thinking back, Our house in Newport had A/C and we almost never used it.
Just love the interaction between you two. You work so well together. I can't afford the yacht (now),
but it's such an entertaining treat!
Wow.. That floor is classy. More things to add to my list. Pocket doors on a refit is a great touch. Loft style. Lots of things!
Beautiful craftsmanship, cheers to the owner, thanks for showing us this yacht.
What a great deal. Love to see his next project and a chance to snatch it up. 👍 Thank you for showing us these great affordable options.
Actually 'grilling' is hot and fast cooking and 'barbecuing' is slow low heat cooking. 😉
He we go! Lol
And the golden bottle of bbq sauce goes to...
@@NautiStyles I couldn't resist! 😀
@@NautiStyles you knew it was coming....:)
I never knew! duh...
I love it… 70s style, in my early 20s…would live on it if I had the money in a second……you guys r lucky to be able to see all these boats, and thank u for sharing…..
Whenever I watch a boat video I instinctively analyse the value of every piece of the boat in a rolling sea with 3 meter waves and a sheet of rain pounding away in an 80 MPH headwind. I was looking for someplace to hold onto that beautiful stainless steel BBQ kitchen set at the bow :) Honestly though, you can tell this refit was done by a master of the trade. Where else are you going to find those little loop hole latches (20:06) on the cabinets ? That kind of stuff is the difference between nautical knowledge and Popeye wisdom :)
You guys realy know how to show a Yacht, Loved it !!!
Wow, a great conversion that’s perfect as a liveaboard yacht, I fully agree! Although the interior style might not be everybody’s cup of thee, I like that they kept it in style with the overall design and age. Yes, another unique and interesting tour. Thanks Victoria and Rico 💙
Thanks for watching Harko! Sorry we couldn’t make the chat, but boy we had an amazing filming day today 😝🙌🏻
cup of "THEE"????
Is that would make a wonderful wonderful liverboard especially if friends like you would come to visit. You guys are awesome
For sheer real estate this is possibly the most yacht for the money I've seen. The refit looks amazing.
Love the hammock, and very unique homey yacht. Great for small people lol, that part gave mad me laugh at work. Very decent live aboard. Thank you again for another well shown video.
Haha, glad you enjoyed it
I would take your advice, add the 2 steps to the upper foredeck and transfer the hammock up there. Use the hammock spot for layout cushions
You could put the dishwasher on the other side of the kitchen counter facing the bow. Just around the corner has nothing there! Add some cabinets to surround the dishwasher. And, a shelf above the sink for the microwave and Keurig! This is AWESOME....
haha, you say that about so many boats 🙈😝😂 we are still shopping though 😝🙈😂😂 also Rico is a total coffee snob... he doesn’t like Keurig🙈 I know, he is a diva 😂😂
Apart from the missing dish washer I absolutely LOOOVE the vibe and nostalgia feel to this boat ... and the new owner will get a WAAST amount of bang for his/her bucks. TYVM for the tour of this gem ;-)
Great video - Love the channel. As a Bertram owner with 8v92's in ours @ 720 hp each, that boat is no where near 24kts WOT and a cruise of 15kts. We can achieve those speeds plus 1 or 2 more kts. Maybe she'll hit 12 WOT and a cruise of 10kts. 12v71's or 92's in that beast and you might get close, but Bertram's are massive deep V's and heavy! I don't think DD made 8V92 TA's at 480 hp, but i could be wrong? Love to see people restoring Bertie's!
That was a fantastic tour of an amazing boat, this would be an amazing purchase
The internet ate my comment, dontcha hate it when that happens? Anyway, I love this boat for the way they renovated the space into a perfect liveaboard, or as Victoria says, "a condo on the water" and Rico chimes in "It feels like a loft" and both are correct. If you want to go, it's ready to go; if you want to anchor it and hang around, it's ready for that, too. What a steal for under half a million! I want it, I want it... but by the time I'm ready to get on the water this will have a happy new owner, for sure. The renovations are done so well. Many owners would have been satisfied to do much less and call it a day, but this owner went the extra mile, or should I say the extra hundred thousand dollars above and beyond what would have been a great renovation, all the way to making it a brilliant one like-new boat. Wow, I am impressed, and I can usually find fifty problems!
I’m a new subscriber and I’ve binge watched a number of videos. You both do a nice job. Quite entertaining. Please forgive my impertinence as I say Victoria is easy on the eyes and I do enjoy the view from the rear.
That is lovely! I could so see my wife and me on that boat!
another great showing guys , what a awesome boat , with the refit , I'd rather have that boat than some of the muti million dollar boats that you guys have show cased ! your allways thorough and fun to watch ! stay blessed !
Thanks 👍
New does NOT mean better. This is an amazing yachting classic. Would love a climate controlled boat like this to host people 😊
Can’t beat the classic look. It’s beautiful.
@@guyh.4121 i bet it rides better/less tender than alot of new ones too
Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 here.
If we had a better
climate I wouldn't hesitate to bring her over. Water front apartments are about the same cost, but who would prefer a generic tower block over this, it's absolutely fab!
👌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Totally
Wow, Victoria you really know your stuff! Impressive eye for details! Great content.
Thank you kindly
Best yacht channel. Awesome content. Knowledgeable hosts and a beautiful lady.
Wow, thank you! 🙏🏻💙
Im always amaze how great you guys do a pretty good you are at making a tour so lively.
Can you say unique. They did an amazing job renovating this yacht. And with so many possibilities still for personalization. I love your videos of boats that the average rich person would want. 🥴🤪
Glad you like it!
Great walkthrough, guys. An amazing boati used to. live on the Wilmington River near Savannah Georgia I used to watch those big ass Bertramsblazing out to the fishing grounds at30 to40knots.I would watch, and cuss at them, because I knew they were throwing a huge wake that was going to rock my little 1980 28’ Cris Craft Catalina.Rock, but not hurt becauseI had it tied off the floating dock with a weighted line.Thank you,Victoria for correcting Rico on the Barbecue. That’s kind of a pet peeve of mine, because my pulled pork starts out wit a Boston Butt that’s been smoking in my Weber bullet smoker for 12 hours, usually over hickory chunks with a little pecan wood for good measure. After I had all the meat off the bone and chopped,I finished it off with a traditional North Carolinavinegar based sauce.Put that on a bun with a little tart coleslaw, and you have some very good eating. Thank you for the video.
My favorite Victoria quote of the day (on the hammock, of course!): "Speaking of a lifestyle... what the hell...?"
What I like about Victoria and Rico’s, yacht videos, is they are both knowledgeable about a wide range of yacht sizes, equipment and they can articulate everything very well. The other thing I like about Rico, he doesn’t disrespect his wife for views and likes. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
thank you so much William, that’s very nice to hear 🙏🏻💙
That's because Victoria is smoking hot and Rico doesn't like the couch, ha,ha,ha!!!
Small enough to handle while so much potential! Love the boat.
Soon real soon, ill get there soon.
Super classy TV in every room.
Lol
You know you’re in Marina Del Rey with the sea lion chorus - rest of us plebs have to put up with herring gulls. Lovely boat by the way.
😝😝😝🙈🤣🤣🤣
Or San Francisco, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Capitola...
Very nice tender, clearly bought from an extremely good place:-)!
Yes indeed! 😝😝😝😂😂
The more I watch you two the more I just love ya!!! and what you're doing to help sell these yachts
It's a massive vessel - on the outside - and very nicely restored. But for $500K one would like do better financially - as well as space wise - with a used Nordhavn, Selene, DieselDuck, or any other slower but very comfy trawler yacht in the 50 foot range. That said, those are normally snapped up quickly, so a GB or similar (not as seaworthy but perfectly good for liveaboard) might be the more realistic option.
Size isn't everything, and as space isn't very efficiently used aboard this Bertram, size comes comes with extra cost for moorage, bottom paint, basic maintenance and upkeep, etc, without the benefits for a 74' vessel.
Sorry for being the "dissenting voice" among the comments ;-)
Keep on doing great videos though!
That would make an excellent live aboard I would think. It reminds me of some of the European Barges and narrow boats I have seen. Very nice salon layout.....
👌🏻💙
And as a bonus remember you can just pump out all your dirty water / toilet water in to the ocean rather than bother with emptying toilets and other yucky stuff.
That was different.a good tour as always.you 2.
I think you and Rico need this yacht. Y’all two could decorate it so great! It works for you guys! Rico could DJ on the old helm and you would have a nice place to edit and do your work! 😀 SOLD! lol 😂
True that
Love your channel! Warms up my winters up here in Canada.
The only thing missing that would prevent me from moving right in is an oven, oh, and the 500 grand I don't have at the moment! 😁😎👍✌ Great review, great yacht, and fun as always.
Just borrow the money from your rich brother.
Haha. The 500 grand you don’t have. Between you and your banker, ya got it made. lol.
Wow, what a great re-fit!
Yep! Pretty spectacular 👌🏻🙌🏻
Great Yacht, I like those older Boats very much, especially if they are rebuilt with so much love and detail.
With all the different levels for sleeping, dining and entertaining, this feels bigger than 74’
The owner did a fantastic job, it definitely looks like a condo on the water. The engine room which could have shown its age was a definite attention to detail with how clean and updated it was. I would think that it would cost more. That's a lot of living space for that amount.
Amazing yacht!Same year as me:)
Riptide was my favorite tv show and this would let me live like I was a character on the show
8:06 "That barbeque alone must have been a lotta money!" OMG LOL :D
You’ve convinced me that a hammock is a must…. And that grill is fantastic. Just added both to my ideal yacht list! Do you have any more Horizon Yacht tours in the pipeline? I’m really loving all your tours and they just keep getting better and better. 💙💙
Every time we are in FL we try to do a Horizon, and it always sold 😝🙈 we will keep trying, we have a great realtor with the shipyard (I love them!) so as soon as there is one avail and we are avail we will make it happen
@@NautiStyles I’ll keep my fingers crossed then! 💙🙏🤞
@@paulcrathorn5707 My only problem with the grill is noise from vibrating while underway and when rocking when on anchor.
@@shawnruiz284 that’s a fair point… it could be mounted such that it doesn’t make too much noise though.
@@paulcrathorn5707 The doors you can put some padding too help. but the lid will be tough to stop. I didn't notice if it was secured in place or if it was portable. I know they moved some things to show the Brand new fuel tanks. If it is not movable I would put some type of rubber mat between the deck and the stainless.
Too be honest our crew are a little surprised that you both are older than early 30s - great genetics or amazing lighting 🏅🏅🏅
Wow, thank you guys! :-)))
I love this yacht! Lower salon is amazing!!
I love watching the layouts of the yachts made in the 60’s and 70’s. There always seems to more room in the salon and galley. Seems more liveable.
Back in the 70s, boats and motorhomes were rated by 'Sleeps 6/Fucks 14'
Pardon my 70s vernacular.
I would much rather own one of these classic Bertram’s than own a modern style type of motor yacht. This yacht would be wonderful to live onboard. The owner outdid himself with this remodel. This is another great video that y’all have done!
Thanks for watching
@@NautiStyles a
Amazing restoration!
Glad you like it!
Hi guys. I work at the fire station in Marina Del Rey. We had a boat fire this morning behind the Ritz Carlton. Luckily no one was hurt. Please stop in for a cup of coffee if you’re ever in the area…
Will definitely do. I actually was a paramedic back in germany for about 6 years.
🙏🏻
I like how the interior is very livable. You see so many yachts with beautiful interiors, beautiful to the point your afraid to touch anything, everything too perfect, a boat where they constantly tell the kids to not touch anything.
A very comfortable looking boat. Maybe some better furniture choices.
Was not overly impressed until you did the interior reveal. And, I love, there are still opportunities to add your own touches. A perfect match of blending ownership. For the price it is a deal!

Just feel the need to finally say...you guys are just great.the perspective ,the view in which you share is a normal every persons point of view (the normal people at least).you guys have really developed a good system and order of things.informative along the lines of what's really relevant, without stepping across the too slow or to drawn out....which keeps the viewer unable to pull away or loose interest.you also seem to to be pleasant with each other taking one anothers sometimes aggrivating annoying habits with a grain of salt and and seem to almost enjoy them making humor with instead of being to bothered with to deeply or sinically. Which is the secret to long ,healthy ,flourishing, relationships wether it be with husband wife, freind, relative, child or any other human on the planet.love your videos..my granny used to say .when the food tastes great....don't alter the recipe
I'm in love with this boat.

Wow, thanks!
Forward Stateroom is probably the. CREW QUARTER perhaps. Are there Bow Thrusters? I think you two should DO THIS
Wow, 50 years old with only 500 hours on the engines!? Incredible. That boat was never used……
Right? Unreal
I would assume they were rebuilt... it was a $400,000 refit.
500 hours after rebuild .... question is it a full rebuild or make up😕
Might be new engines in that total...
