Riddles Kazuya is very fun to watch, I don't like playing against the character but you know the stuff he pulls off is hype and hard. It's fun.
its why most ppl love his terry more. terry still p cringe but LEAAAGUES less cringe than kazuya at some point it stops being hype and just kinda annoying to see

There isn't a single character in this game that Marss doesn't view as a meme character.
Even if fighting a kazuya who knows what they're doing can be frustrating, I still love watching kazuya, just because his special moves look so beefy and cool.

I think they look stupid and wonky as hell. It doesn't make sense, it doesn't look like smash, it looks al glitchy and weird, like it's footage from some other game. Combos are dumb and lame as hell. This dude is just Luigi with an insanely better kit and better/actually true and consistent 0 to death combos.
Wish they'd just remove all the DLC from this game. All the stupid gimicks, come back mechanics, special meters, weird shit. None of that is what Smash is about it. Been playing this game since 1998. Ultimate is both the best the series has ever been, and the worst. Such a shame.
im sure if we played the game as much as he does kazuya's shit would get old really fast and all that left is the tilt

lol, so does anyone who isn't heavy. You should be proud to not have died at 10% from that. I've died off the edge of the stage from that shit before as Ridley who I believe just misses qualifying for HW. Who grabs for an additional up to 40% anyway lol
It's always fun to see marss get salty over Kazuya, even though Roy often kills just as early but is fast, with disjoints and has actual neutral
Kazuya makes up for it with i-frames on everything, even in this video there's plenty of times he lands because the opponent's attack just phases through him
That's because Marsss is scared of fighting games
its like he said, roy has the same privilege in advantage but he has to approach but kazuya can just cringe from a distance.

"I don't care that it's hard I don't wanna die at 0%" that's honestly very respectable position as someone who plays a fuck ton of Kazuya and understands how annoying landing those decisive hits can be, especially since I've been on the receiving end of that single decisive hit and died despite my repeated outplaying and outneutral-ing over the course of a whole minute or so. I've been very hesitant on getting tilted at Kazuya's design because I think it's satisfying and fun and very much rewards the effort you put in, but that bias can't compete with spending half the game just Being Better only to get hit once and lose my lead

ZSS is literally my only character not in elite and I've been making a compilation of all the times her moves literally go through people to send to Nintendo. #zsssucks
Bayo was my last character and I finally got her in elite smash about two weeks ago. I'm sure it's a lot harder for you tho because your character sux

As a kazuya main, I know that that Charizard at 11:21 should not have died if he didn’t even hold the stick, I think that for whatever reason he thought it would be a good idea to DI up. Against any good up smash at 80, why would that ever be a good idea?
DI up wouldn't affect anything since LSI can't be used on hits that launch within 15 degrees of straight up or down. He probably held in which made his launch angle straight up.

@@leukashot123 I feel like it's more about the absurd amount of invincibility and hyperarmor he has on moves on top of having Bowser's "tough guy" ability.
Like, I feel one of those things would have been enough but all three is really overkilling it imo

Kazuya can brute force any interaction because he just armors through your counterplay if he overshoots or wrongly guessed your option.

kazuya is the perfect example that hard≠balanced. kazuya is very technical and requires tons of practice, that doesn’t justify having ToD’s from most percentages off of multiple combo starters, all of which are some combination of invincible, fast, or safe

Honestly from maining lucina I can say she's like the easiest char to pick up and play well with if you're team fundies, and is a great match up against kazuya, surprised more people don't just counterpick

Wait, you can see someone's DI? Never noticed
It’s almost unnoticeable if there is any special particles or special effects
It's mostly noticeable on electric moves because of the extended hitstun.
It’s also not necessarily their DI, but the direction they’ll be moving in after hitstun.
This is obviously influenced by DI, but just because a line is pointed straight up doesn’t mean your opponent is DI’ing straight up, it could just be that the move they’re being hit by always sends characters upwards
Not necessarily the di but you can see the launch trajectory. So you can figure out the di in most cases

This may surprise you, but Kazuya actually comes from a series of fighting games called Tekken, which predates Smash by five years.

He's nothing under top tier. Terrible disadvantage states (like some of the worst in the game) but ridiculously hard to put it, let alone keep in disadvantage constantly.
Yakuza is an intentionally broken character, might as well give him a sword, ranged grab, hell give him spirits and metal/giant command inputs. Is an input that disconnects the opposing players controller too op? I guess that should be the konami code.
@Joshua Suh he seems to do better than most. Only disadvantage is off stage too far out and often can still zip up with up b
