Steve is obnoxious but is a bit more fun to watch because of how creative you can get. sonix is just boring to watch. I get why he plays that way tho because he wants to win. I still want him to lose though.

Players who use close range characters often think Kazuya is broken. The real truth though is just that since Kazuya wants you close by, it just makes it really really hard for close range characters.

I’ve never heard of Cosmos before Smash 4’s DLC pack 2 (Cloud Bayo Corn). After a peculiar drop in results, Cosmos is getting back to his former glory with Pythra from Ult’s DLC pack 2
It's kinda sad to see the kaz/riddles hate. Like I get the frustration at getting combo'd out of a game but the amount of effort and skill riddles has put into the character is insane. Learning all the tech and perfecting the 2-frame god fist to use it as well as learning all the strings is crazy. Plus a lot of the long ones you see him do aren't actually true. He's juet following the DI line and picking the option that matches it. Theres actual counter play to it and theres matches where it's stopped a lot of his stuff.

I mean yeah, there's a lot of hate. But do you see the amount of people that get hyped whenever Riddles is playing Kazuya? I've seen so many elite smash Kazuya's now its crazy. Nobody really asked for him and was probably the least hyped for smash players but now he's considered one of the most hype characters for many. He's dog shit to fight though if you're really trying to win, especially if you're aggressive.

The funny part is Kola’s from Georgia, so the WHOLE crowd wanted to see him win. It was hilarious being there watching everyone groan or gasp off a single Kazuya hit.

What sucks is that unlike luigi, kazuyas recovery is better
Actually both of their recoveries aren’t the greatest. I would say kazuya’s is better because kazuya without a jump can actually make it back to stage decently, however I think Luigi’s is less gimp-able than kazuyas considering kazuya is slowly moving through the air most the time if he’s not near ledge, and he may occasionally do a laser for a mixup. Luigi is doing several green missiles which can be hard to edguard considering the Luigi player does have the ability to mix up the timings (hence countering could backfire like in the Light Elegant set at MainStage game three), green missile does always have the chance to misfire, and green missile is a hit box and does have some frames of intangibility.

People are acting like Kazuya is this easy mode braindead character and are ignoring all the actual skill needed to play him and the actual downsides with him, along with the actual results showing that Kazuya isn't dominating the game at all. People need to admit that Riddles is just amazing at playing Kazuya and properly learn the match-up, or even learn the character themselves if he is so called easy mode broken.

Kinda on u for losing neutral as Roy vs Kazuya though.
But to make up for it he has really bad disadvantage state, very linear recovery, and as Roy you have way better frame data that you should just swarm him with. Just gotta approach him carefully.

No matter what people say that character is not brain dead and if the character was truly that easy and that broken, we would see more kazuya’s. I used to think Kazuya was broken but then I used Corrin... all it takes is to not only outrange Kazuya, but HEAVY punish him. Like, bait out a slow move and then hit him with a mean combo or a strong attack in general. Thing is, you have to keep doing it until you win, or gimp him offstage for the W.
Good try. Kazuya is still broken and a trash carry character. Kazuya only weakness is range and ground speed which means some keep away characters like Min Min, Belmonts, Sephiroth, Byleth or even Megaman can keep him at distance. However all Kazuya needs is just 1 interaction and that is it.
It is like Fighting King Of Fighter's 94 Rugal. You can beat him, you can exploit his moves. He touches you once and you die or at least have 95% of your health gone. Sounds like a certain character we know right? -wink wink-

I will say this is far from the end of this rivalry. Kola is constantly finding ways to adapt to Kazuya and starting to go Cloud for the matchup is something he knew he'd have to dom he likely would have won if he practiced his Cloud earlier in bracket to prepare for Riddles and Roy's bad matchups

Kazuya in Smash is like Akuma in Tekken. They are difficult to play, the combo's hard, but if you fight against those who can play them well, it's really frustrating.

Fundies,Combos.... this is what fundamentals and Combos actually look like. As a Smash player until Steve was released. Smash players are all random an play with luck on their side. Kazuya an the fighting game characters actually punish yall for being goofy. How about play Smash like a fighting game instead of trying to run away from Kazuya, gamble with him or go for gimmicks when he can just 1 combo you to death. Play a strike throw game and try not to whiff buttons in neutral or the EWGF will blow you up into death combo.

@@biledox5576 Of course. Roy has a better matchup spread. It's just not fun to watch a 40/60 turn into a 100/0 for Kazuya mid-game because of one move. Only way you beat it is by camping effectively which is never fun to watch unless it's some goofy ass Steve. Fun to watch for all the wrong reasons.

@@biledox5576 Kaz is way more broken, but Roy's better. Also I'm talking about Riddles, the best Kazuya, being unfun to watch, not crying about some local Kazuya I can't beat. I mean it's not his fault, just like Little Macs don't ask to be camped the whole game. That's just how you have to play against them. Also, you just perfectly described my point. Bait and punish against a character as extreme as Kazuya ends up being boring to watch when the other player is playing well. When they're not playing well, they just get EWGF'd over and over into death. And there are no real amazing aggressive spacing mechanics in this game, so opponents will just platform camp and hope Kaz whiffs something because that's how you play the matchup. If you get bored and play aggressively, you die.

"broken" doesn't have to mean the best character in the game. Kazuya has very obvious flaws, but he also has some of the most mind-numbing, ludicrous strengths in the game that unless you play a certain way or play a certain character type, you're just gonna get destroyed by him
it’s also that he’s so hard to play like riddles. like getting all those inputs and everything is mindless, but first you have to be able to do them super fast and consistently, which is something riddles has been known for throughout his entire career

Yes it would lower their amount of practise on a certain character but it’s a sacrifice well worth if it can help you out when your main doesn’t win against a certain character
People saying sh*t about Kaz but they dont realize the Kaz's skill required to do that. He sure is strong but by no mean an easy character. Riddles used to miss quite alot of conversion from enemies DI-ing his EWGF. He got better with it this time

As someone that does not go to tournament, I love watchin kazuya. Something about it is just funny in a way that makes it ok when otherwise I wouldn't be. Just like snake camping is funny so I don't care, but sonic camping is cringe and I hate it.
