- Ultimate Summit 6 took place last weekend, and the entire event was FILLED with wacky events and, most notably, INSANE upsets. Today, we're checking out Sparg0 vs. Void's match in the first round of the Losers bracket. I give my thoughts as a professional Content Creator.

Esam made a good point that shiek combos have little effect on limit bar, something I never thought of. The low damage is actually a good thing in this matchup.
They also have little effect on the opponent's percentage. If you look at esam's video, when he goes crazy about "he did that huge combo and he doesn't even have half limit" its bc cloud took 22%. From like a 5 hit combo.
@@ericlippe I mean he did take 50 from one combo at 7:27 and Cloud still barely got any limit
lol limit is directly affected by the number of percent done, so if limit doesn’t fill, it means it was not a lot of damage

Nah sparg0 just didn’t shield he chose to try to dash back rather than playing defensive. If you look closely you can see
I think so much of this can be credited to spargo thinking it was an easy win and not actually trying until void already had so much momentum and spargo not being able to reset his headspace to get back into the game fully
Yeah people get into the mindset of I already won this when the better one is to play like you're playing the best in the world at all times. Cause somebody catches you lacking and this is what happens to you
He also tends to be very stubborn about counterpicking when hes losing, he sticks to ckoud even if he got his 3 stocks gimped the past game instead of switching to Aegis or something else
I don't even think that I think he was just stressed cause mute won their pool

I was a VoiD believer going into this set, glad he managed to get the upset. Sheik is a very bad MU for Cloud IMO and more importantly VoiD took all the right risks. One of my fav sets ever
It’s a pretty polarising matchup, cloud is easy to combo and easy to gimp, obviously spargo is a god at recovery mixups though, so it proves the point that Sheik still stands as likely having the best edgeguarding in the game.
Edit: I should say he’s easy to combo and gimp, but the polarising part of it is those fat disjointed that disable a lot of Sheik’s attempts to anti-air and catch landings*.
@first last Yeah Sheik gets outranged but her superior neutral, her burst range, and the ease with which she shifts her hurtbox make up for it. Just look at how VoiD spaces right outside Cloud's range in this set.
@@please_no_johns Sheik's hurtbox shifting is huge in this match up. pause and go frame by frame @4:11 where Marss calls out Spargo for mashing fair. it's a valid criticism but shiek is TINY during that falling animation, it's actually crazy. almost any other character would've gotten hit by that fair.
void ending the set with the raindrop is iconic
Honestly, your analysis is some of the best out there. It's insightful in ways that few, if any, are. I don't think it's your favorite thing to do, but it's very good and I hope we get more of it in the future!

At 4:45, the song that starts is from an old arcade game called 'Cruising the world', it was also on n64 and it probably as old or older than Marss.
The movement from void to avoid (no pun intended) that aerial at 10:52 was so simple to execute, but so sick.

Upset by technicality since void is unranked and by seeding. Void is definitely cracked but doesn't compete much anymore haha.
@@Holeinshoo right, he normally even might get downed in pools or apparently top 32-64 at the other tourneys he's been too recently except a couple. But bro just has to bear someone lol. I imagine he was a fan or player vote in, but I really missed seeing his Sheik compete (almost Said his VoiD, damn joke always screws me when typing)

Spargo played not well this tournament
Spargo has seemed... off lately. Between this set and his loss to Skyjay at Collision he's been uncharacteristically agitated and visibly stressed during his matches. It makes me wonder if he's got some things going on.
