I live in St. Pete, and while every city has it's bad areas, generally speaking if you stay north of Central Ave, you'll be OK, and even the southside is much, much better than it was 20-30 years ago. The perfume thing must be your nose, because it's something I've never experienced here, with anyone.

Look into non emergency medical driving. Create an LLC, go through all the paperwork and certification. Way more 💵 efficient than Uber & Lyft. But then again, it’s Florida, …my state pays $1.70 a mile. If a passenger has an appointment 40 miles away, 80 round trip = $136. Do another 20 mile trip that’s = $68. $200 and you’re home by 2:00pm most days. No depending tips, paid by the state through customer’s insurance

Ok, I had to stop you after the comment about graffiti and Oakland, California. Saint Petersburg is a city that embraces art and murals. You will find it throughout the city predominantly mid Saint Pete, all the way to Midtown south Saint Pete.
You’ve had a few things I found to be accurate such as we have a homeless and panhandling issue . Additionally, you talked about the crime in Tampa, but you missed the most recent shootings we’ve had here. Saint Petersburg has changed and grown tremendously. It is not the city I grew up in. My family has been here six generations, including my son.A lot of the original people have been pushed out because they can’t afford to live here anymore. As far as Uber based on the timeframe that you uploaded I’m assuming you did it during the week, so yes, we can assume that you’re picking up people who are going to work that live here. There is no significant holiday or spring break at this time.
I do not drive Uber, but I know a lot of people who have I would say that evaluating your times and listening to a couple other people who have commented on your best time frames. Long time ago, you made a video driving through the south side of Saint Pete, referring to people as unfriendly and it being the hood.
I’ve been watching your videos for a long time and respect that you have freedom to speak your own opinions and perceptions . However I would say that you have not embodied the people of St. Petersburg nor our crimes statistics properly.
The area you were in Haines Road definitely has its challenges. However, comparing 10 years ago to now the area is much better. Contrasting neighborhoods is definitely on point that has always been Saint Pete.

This is a joke! The only thing this suggested is that you came up here and went and hung around a sex offender park! And that everyone is broke in st Pete! Which is totally incorrect! One thing is that it is in the middle of the day, probably during off season in the state of Florida. And to compare a city like st Pete to Bradenton or even any other is crazy! Everyone is different and when you are only talking about tips and most likely only talking about tips and a wasted trip most likely with your passengers, they are less likely to tip! But if you know about city life period, people work during the daytime and they go out at night! Mainly on the weekends. So comparing somewhere to another is crazy and only worried about tips which guess what someone must not like you! Or tons of people! Have fun because at Pete is really really calm! And very very not dangerous! So bye and stop complaining!

  • @InMyBrz
    @InMyBrz 7 месяцев назад +10

YES Haines Rd off of US19 is mostly trailer parks and family owned automotive/boat businesses. In fact, a lot of latinos live there because rents are cheap.
NO different than that part of Bradenton on US41 between Manatee Av and Cortez Rd
Once you cross under I-275, you're back in a decent neighbothood, all the way to the bay.
NOW, if you want the worst part of SP it's Pinellas Park, my Dad used to call it PENNILESS PARK.
You goofed up thinking downtown would be the place to do Uber, mostly short rides
The REAL MONEY is sitting at the Clearwater St Petersburg airport on the bay near Ulmerton and 49th St. Since the airport is very isolated and far away from most anywhere, your riders will be usually going west to the opposite side of the city, near the gulf OR north into Clearwater/Oldsmar/Tarpon Springs/Dunedin- quite a ride away

St Petersburg like most cities has a bad neighborhood but to paint it as a dangerous city is asinine.

Tipping is part of “capitalism.” Greed and laziness from business owners. In business ‘it’s high risk / high reward.’ But somewhere down the line, making the poor customer ALWAYS pay for the business’s losses & high expenses, became normal & acceptable to our government leaders. A business owner can reap all the benefits of making money, but gets to escape the responsibility of paying workers ( who help their greedy ass make money ).
Only in America… where anything you “own,” still gets taxed 💵.

Just a bunch of shitty people. When I was in Miami in 2018, Uber didn't have a tip option, so I would give the drivers $5 cash. At the time they insisted that it wasn't necessary but I told them it's common courtesy. I am a food deliverer, so I always hope for tip

Saint Pete has always been a no opportunity c*** hole. Unless you own your own business, there is not much opportunity for anything else. Many of the businesses are actually started by people from out of town. Many of the old restaurants and businesses have since been bought or closed. It's totally different than what it used to be about 20 years ago, but it is still a c*** hole and the work opportunities are scarce. There has always been a major homeless problem in saint Pete. The downtown district has just gotten a hell of a lot better at hiding them.

They either come from here so they got a lot of sympathy or they’re part of the weird crowd I would not recommend being here I pray you take my word and pick a better city
