My sister in law has a 30 year addiction to Xanax, always prescribed by doctors. It has ruined her life and ours. She sleeps most of the day, can’t work, has huge outbursts of anger, withdrawals in between doses… all of this with the encouragement of enthusiastic doctors. This is BIG business for these people.
Benzos definitely need to be used sparingly for emergencies and only for the right individual. Unfortunately, many doctors have prescribed this as a daily use treatment as recommended by Pharma. If somebody needs more than 2 or 3 mg a month, they might want to explore other treatments.

Psychedelic drug experiences like LSD and mushrooms are affected by the person's state of mind and circumstances. You must feel comfortable already, or be at risk of a possible bad trip.
This is an excellent treatment for the right individual. Unfortunately, this treatment is typically cost prohibitive for the people that really need it. You could easily be out of pocket 3k to 5k in a Year's worth of treatments.
Some people try to go to cheaper route and get the low dose oral version through the mail, but it's definitely not the same treatment

" It is almost impossible to die from an overdose of Ketamine alone." Did I hear that correctly? Matthew Perry's tolerance level definitely increased given his need for more & more. The doctors selling him the drug apart from the infusions even knew he was "spiriling out of control." He had been abstaining from all substances for 19 months prior to the infusions. It's understandable that he was feeling the full weight of his mental health conditions without the ability to self-medicate. 19 months is a long time, but not enough to learn & practice other ways of coping without substances. Those infusions reintroduced that "high" feeling which triggered another active addiction. It was way too risky for him to use Ketamine as an alternative to SSRIs. In my opinion, he was not a good candidate for this treatment as we can all see from the tragic outcome. And I can't help wondering what Matthew would say if he could return to tell us whether Ketamine was a good treatment alternative for him?!
Just anything that alters my mind artificially I say NO! You want a trip, meditate. Be one awaken ❤

I had about 2 grams of mdma and ate about 300ugs of lsd and went to hospital where they gave me 200 mg of ketamine. It worked wonders for brain but I only remember coming down after the infusion of ketamine at hospital but I felt great next day the opposite of sad and retarded

@ashleymitts well I think medication does too, but what I'd say is the cyanide and flouride side effects matter and can even be lethal. It's like, I guess they're trying to deter addiction, but in reality I think it's just an issue with the government regulations. I mean Lexapro sucks, but it is similar, I'm more of a mescaline type of guy myself though. Oh, how they're terrified of every stimulant though.
