That’s why I’m here. Mortske’s a wealth of knowledge and fun to listen to. I know, I’m biased but it’s because my attention span is larger than most. It’s a generational thing.
This is a Swedish invention! Everyone who watch this video, with the Bobcat fellerbuncher 1213, should know this!! This is a Swedish invention, wich begans in the early 1980:s. Maybe 1982-1983 or something. I say this because I really know it!! I was an employee at the Swedish dealer for Bobcat, Lastor AB, in Sweden, up to 1990. I have been working severly years for introducing Bobcat in Sweden, from the middle of 1970:s. I'am very proud of this. It was as a really hard work to convince machineowners, farmers etc, that a Bobcat would be grateful for their business. But i'm driving my old Bobcat 443 to help my costumers, it stills works fantatic, and at my age of 70+. This invention, on the six wheeld Bobcat, started with one of our boss for the comnpay in Sweden, who was traveling over to USA, to visit the Bobcat Company in North Dakota. He found out that in USA , they use the concept with fellerbuncher. But with bigger machines. Why not with a Bobcat? Ok, back in Sweden , he gave the order to create a sixwheeled Bobcat, and in that time based on a Bobcat 743. The front axle with a boogie drived, by a chaincase and the rear axle was also put backwards, with a chaincase, and a pendulumarm to put the rear axleheigth, up and down. I have seen this sixwheeld Bobcat, built in Sweden with my own eyes, unfortunately , I have no picture and can not prove it, but I have it in my mind. This is a Swedish invention by the Swedish dealer for Bobcat, Lastor AB. Furthermore the Bobcat Company in USA did accept the id'e and start to produce it. It was in 1985-1986. The Swedish dealer, Lastor AB, imported the Bobcat 1213 fellerbuncher, around 1987, i think. I have seen it, with my own eyes. Bobcat Company in USA , did base the Bobcat 1213, on Bobcat 843 wih an Isuzu 4-cyl engine. I'm a big fan of Bobcat. I've been living with Bobcat since the middle of 1970:s and still doing it, in my age of 70+, and will do it to my end of life. Magnus Ericson, Sweden
This episode is a prime example of why I like your channel. You went over to a museum to help them out with the very cool little Bobcat because you are a nice guy. That rocks big guy. Keep it up and you'll get a cool service truck just like Muffin's rig in no time. 🤘😁👍
If people like Mortske ,mojo and other guys dont help out pass on their knowledge in years to come itll be videos on changeing your extension cord plug for you latest hoover electric car,, nowledge is power passing it on and helping others is more powerful
For community service action above and beyond the call of duty, Mortske receives a field Commission to Major. Duff Dog remains the soul carrying the everyday battle. Love the Duff!
I really do admire how you help out in your community. A lot of people just move on when they become great big super stars, but it’s great to see you staying humble.
Great video again Mortske. You learn something new everyday. My rule with Diesel engine's, Black smoke, excess fuel, White smoke, Air. Blue smoke, Trouble. The to much talking comment, Probley likes the book's with lots of pictures. Lol.
Hey mortski, I’ve been watching your videos for many years. I gotta hand it to you you did good. I enjoy all of your videos. They’re just fun without being nasty. Keep up the great work.
Yes glad you are giving back too the community you are a good person for that. I have never thought of using a hose clamp like that but it would work. Love your videos keep up good work!
Well didn’t get a Monday video but this is even better. Love watching people help others. Thanks mortske. I’m a big car lover but nothing beats watching old machines run too.
I hope the museum has you play with some more of their exhibits. I used a hose clamp to hold a wheel on the axle of a furniture dolly. The lock washer thing got lost in the grass. Hose clamp gang.
Just think of all the wonderful things you’re going to learn about vintage one of a kind machinery that you’ll forget because it’s vintage and one of a kind! Lol
I can relate to the whole "I'm not much good at that relaxing thing everyone talks about" thing. Right there with you. That Bobcat is pretty cool, never saw one quite like that with the 6 wheels.
I feel ya on the work thing. I have a full time job, a side business repairing small engine stuff, and I am renovating a house for fun, all while being disabled. I would go crazy if I sat still for long.
That actually is a pretty rare unit...all Bobcats used Kubotas prior to the Doosan buyout..first unit I've ever seen with an Isuzu...cool unit..thanks for sharing
@More Mortske Repair yeah, actually you're right...I have seen a few a few gassers too, that used Wisconsins and ford 2.3's..but those were units from the late 70s early 80s...
Pike lumber in northern Indiana had a few of these. One had an orchard attachment to shake fruit out of trees. They were orange and mid 80's in age. They look pretty cool decked out with the roof a/c and Kraco tape deck.. lolol
The forestry package they offered has a hydraulic system that operated the rear axle to steady it while working up and down hill. They were based off the 843 models of the 80s. They were made in 1985 and 86.
Very cool skidsteer probably they sold these to Oregon and California cause there are lot of trees. All it took to start was just lack of fuel and a busted battery cable. Good job helping the community and making a passive advertisement for the museum as well.
No, you're not felling 300ft douglas firs with a skid steer. This is a tree shear mostly used for clearing brush from encroached fields. Think 15 ft cedars, not ponderosa pines.
It's a cool skid steer. You would think it would tip over with a big tree hanging out front. I seen big ones but not a small skid steer cut trees. Thanks for sharing 👍🇺🇸
Way too much talking skip through about 3/4 of your program
I’ll let my faithful subscribers respond to your comment. Congratulations on being chosen as our very special commenter! Let Brian know what he’s won!
Yeah he's a talker...

@brianmiller763. The history, knowledge, and talking through his actions are why I watch Mortske.
Brian, you just won a great big scheisse sandwich for the dumbest comment ever. Congrats!

Thanks for that!
Thanks for the video Mortske.
Wouldn’t it be nice if more communities had a Mortske they could lean on! Good job! 💪👊🙏👍
North Dakotans are born survivors..handed down by the Scandanavians who were the only ones brave enough to settle there. Community is how you survive.
It's so cool to see a guy helping out the community for the greater good, more of us should!
If he’d only quit bumping his gums and actually do something. He thinks he’s a comedian, but he better not quit his day job.
@@alk5749 aww, you really do need a hug don't you?

Enjoyed your video Mortske.
I really do admire how you help out in your community. A lot of people just move on when they become great big super stars, but it’s great to see you staying humble.
Well said!
Thanks very much fun as always 😊
Good deal. I fiddled with diesel just enough to know I love the sound of the old pneumatic starters. Tip of the hat for helping the museum.
Cool video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
The directors of the museum knew that if anyone could get it running it would be you! Nice job! 😁👍

No matter what Puddin said last nite!😆
Nice work Mortske
Thing's pretty neat. Also that's one sweet service truck!
Sure is
That is one great service truck. Well done to that feller. 👍
Still have my Vise Grips with the 40 year old acid burns. Had to run with those under the hood for far longer than I like to admit.
You might want to take some of the more interesting home-builds at the museum to elaborate on. It would be great content.
Good suggestion
Well here I was thinking I'd be dealing with Mortske and Duff withdrawal this week. 😊
Helping out the community you're good people sir.
Pretty cool 6 wheel bobcat ! Thanks for sharing it ! Take care Duff & Sir !
This was a great video. You did a great job on that Bobcat! Yay Mortske!

It's a cool skid steer. You would think it would tip over with a big tree hanging out front. I seen big ones but not a small skid steer cut trees. Thanks for sharing 👍🇺🇸
They were designed for cutting pretty small tress. Many years ago I can recall seeing on a Christmas tree farm.
