Just to clarify, each car has to be physically driven through the tunnel? Why wouldn't you use a bus?

That's correct. The Vegas loop cannot legally be driven on autopilot apparently according to the driver.

@@jaredp8169 The size of the tunnels were to keep costs down. These tunnels cost a fraction of what is normally charged in the industry.

@jorgeguzman8083 Tunnels are too small for Bus and above ground bus system is many times slower. What isn't mentioned is that this system is a fraction of the costs when compared to other people mover systems. It wasn't chosen because Elon is a Cool Cat.
