People will take this amazing video for granted but props to you mate - you've got some courage on you to willingly drive on these roads for the content. Respect! But stay safe.
I understand why some people wouldn’t enjoy driving in these condition but for me it’s the exact opposite 😂 I love going out in the worst conditions for a spin, the content is an easy excuse to get out 👍🏽

I don't understand regulators being so strict, it makes no sense to me. It's no different to a driving instructor going out with a 17 year old with dual brakes and clutch to take over if something happens. Reinforce the point that the driver must be ready to take over at any moment and it's the same thing, I can feel your frustration
With enhanced AP in my 3, if used at the right time, it's brilliant. I think anyone trying to use it or FSD in all conditions and on all roads especially here in the uk (midlands for me) and expecting it to be 100% will be disappointed.
Really cool experiment. Totally agree with you about the wipers, need to be quicker when on auto. Have you ever experienced getting stuck in water with the model 3 or x either?
Thanks :) no not stuck, I had one issue in the 3 in Germany where water got into a harness and crippled the car (there’s a full video of it on the channel) otherwise it’s really good in the wet
Yeh must have happened in the evening, went too fast and didn’t see the flood, the road also dips heavy to the left there and it would have been pulled straight in :/
Cheers for these videos. Informational for those who are thinking of getting a Tesla, then worth revisiting to see how much your findings resonate as after running one for a while. I daresay if your Highland didn't have FSD you would barely miss it. Tesla do flip flop on whether FSD/ESD are transferable.
I was in that on Wednesday When I travelled from Ludlow to Hereford. And was wishing I had a Tesla to drive through the flooding. I think the Cyber Truck will enter the UK. There are bigger Vans n trucks allowed from the EU to drive on UK roads on a standard licence. I can drive a 3.5 tonne truck on my licence!
Still closed atm, seems there a bit of lag from rainfall to rivers. It’s not the weight that i think is the issue, it’s the safety (or lack of) for other drivers and pedestrians that won’t get it past our rules, I could be wrong but I wouldn’t want to be hit by it 😅
I don’t think it will pass our safety rules, especially for pedestrian safety, elons line of ‘if you get into a fight with another car you’ll win’ says the issue out loud imo and a strange thing to be proud of, you’d hope that the design would be if you crashed into another car you’d both be safe 🤔
Really interesting episode, it demonstrates how much of a challenge getting to level 3 is when sometimes the progress that has been made with self-driving suggests it is in touching distance. I can't begin to imagine how it would have performed in the dark and with a bit of freezing weather thrown in. Camera only systems is either brave or stupid; I get the reasoning in that humans rely on sight, but humans also have a lot of other senses, knowledge and experience that all support the vision, plus why wouldn't you want to improve the automation with sensors like radar that humans don't have? You should probably get some Rain repellent spray for the rear camera (Glaco Mirror Coat Zero).
Weather like this - particularly at night, is why I’m so vexed a Tesla for moving to a purely vision-based system. We don’t have ultrasonic or LiDAR but I cannot see (😏) a good reason for a vehicle not to.
I don't think ultrasonic or radar is any use in those situations, vision is really the only option, they'll be able to train the system to react accordingly eventually.
I’m really surprised you haven’t ripped off the crap cardboard rear undertray going through some of those puddles 😳 Also can you stop “pulling it off” and just “take it off”instead 😜👍
The click-bait incorrect titles are too much. This is not FSD, this is Autopilot. There’s a lot to dig into with how Autosteer handles adverse conditions, but the way you phrase the titles does a disservice to the public perception of Tesla’s Full Self Driving.
This is FSD capability in the UK, it’s a form of enhanced autopilot with extra features that Tesla call FSD themselves, hence I call it FSD since without buying the Full Self Driving package you wouldn’t be able to use all features as that is just autopilot…. Tesla chose to name it this so your saying they are doing a disservice to themselves (which I agree 😂)
Dude, I don't know if you realized it but you're driving on the wrong side the whole time. Also aren't you afraid your Aluminium body will accumulate rust ? Poor tesla robo, being forced to drive through water, what amounts to acid if it were biological. Tesla FSD thinking I want to go back to my momy in Shanghai.

This video makes me so thankful I live in Scotland. We never get bad weather. 😉
Your braver than me using AP in that weather. However im impressed it can still work out where the road is, even when its not clear to the human eye
AP is very easy to predict tbh, ive driven in some crazy rain before and its been better at keeping in lane than me!

Thanks! Glad your enjoying them :)

Hi I’m close to hitting the button on getting a model y, is the enhanced autopilot worth it without parking sensors (just Tesla vision)?
i feel sorry for that car in the dich. RIP
Yeh must have happened in the evening, went too fast and didn’t see the flood, the road also dips heavy to the left there and it would have been pulled straight in :/
Why did the Sensors go? Are they coming back?
Tesla decided to move to a Vision only system (using cameras) which I think is a bad move & doesn't look like they are coming back
@@TeslaDriver I agree with you. surely for a FSD you need sensors and cameras
I'm wondering whether one should stop to check that there is no one injured in that car in the ditch?

what happens if you floor it in the middle of that water, any traction at all?
Yeh good traction just lots more resistance and splashing, not recommended though
Why do you think the Cybertruck will not come to the UK right now?

Don't use "Full Self Driving" in your titles. It's Autopilot, not FSD. I blocked your channel for this, so no more views for me.
It’s literally called Full Self Driving capability and is a £6,800 upgrade, blame Tesla, cya 👋🏽
You know it's not FSD like in the US.
