That's so lovely - thank you so much for your kind words x
I was born in Wales near Efailnewydd before my family moved to Canada some 68 years age. My Granny would tell us this tale in Gymraeg which is the traditional language of Walsh ( I could speak it pretty good then) When Gymraeg is spoke it almost sounds like sing rather then speaking. I loved this legend then or as my gran would say a true story of the Walsh that made Briton Great. Hearing this version tonight warmed my heart.
I was always fascinated by King Arthur's story but since I am from India I never got to learn much about this legend. Thank you Mimi it was such a refreshing story..
Thanks so listening, Emma!
Greetings From Russia. It was a beautiful and charming story. I would like to add that according to another version of this legend The Sword was given to Merlin by the famous Lady of the Lake. After some time the sword was broken by accident and the Lady of the Lake gave him another sword which name has become known as Excalibur
Greetings! I love all the different versions of this story ♡ Thanks so much for listening!!

Ur the best story teller on earth 😘😘
I'm amazed at ur voice!! One question: may I know what version (book) ur reading from? Love it! Please keep doing these videos! 🌹
Hi Allyson - thanks so much for your very sweet comment! I usually search for and rewrite original versions of the stories I narrate - but for this particular story, as there were many versions (some more graphic and obscure than others!), I chose a text based on the works of H. Talbott. It seemed to be the most thorough, RUclips-friendly version I could find. I hope that helps! xx
MimiTheStoryTeller Thank u so much for ur reply! Will be looking forward to ur new works! :)

What is the name of the music you play at the end? It’s so beautiful I was in tears.
The end.........................that is until uriens and lot led a rebellion and started a war, because after several tries, they are STILL not satisfied..no, seriously, I'm not kidding. It's almost shocking that lot is sir Gawain's father.

NEW STORY IS OUT NOW! ♡ This one is based on an old Anglo-Saxon legend called Lady Godiva: ruclips.net/video/9Z-JJXuv6SI/видео.html
MimiTheStoryTeller I just discovered these videos today and I'm an instant fan! How did you come to learn all of these stories? And how did you translate them so well onto RUclips?
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Is this the original story of King Arthur???
There is a much longer version of the story (written in very old English) - but this one, I'd say, is as close as I could get to the original story of King Arthur's beginnings without making it too long :)
@@ItsTheStoryteller
Thanks
This didn’t mention the lady of the lake
That's because The Sword in the Sword and Excalibur are different swords that both belonged to Arthur at different points.

I can’t watch this she is saying Arthur wrong
Sorry you feel that way, Emily :)
Wait wait. Wasn’t the legend of King Arthur and Camelot and Excalibur and all that BEFORE Christianity was prominent enough in Britain for there to be an Arch-bishop? Yet alone cathedrals??
Jordan Howe No it was most likely started after the Norman conquest in the 11th Century, it kind of bigs up the idea of accepting Norman law and order around 450 years after the first Archbishop of Canterbury
According to sources that I've come across, the legend was actually set after Christianity, during a period that's known as the Dark Ages in Europe - A time after the fall of the Roman Empire (at some point between 500 to 1066AD), in which the climate in England was a bit chaotic, the people were impoverished and the economy was in tatters. I'd imagine that these legends helped to lift people's spirits during such a difficult period :)
Okay, nice storytelling… can you read the Bible next? Lol
The Legend of Zelda ? Anyone ?
