It's just overall problem with Carbon with both difficulty and cars, devs stupidly nerfed every single car in the game because of the tier and class system and then also lowered the inengine game speed by 1/3rd compared ton Most Wanted so canyon races last longer. It would be much more intense if they left the balance and upgrades alone, if anything they shouldve sped it up more, because Most Wanted is still a bit reduced in speed compared to real life which is why going 100km/h feels like going 60.

True, liked his character for how posh he is, Darius too. It's a shame Carbon has such a messed up gameplay compared to Most Wanted on top of being so short. I think that all bosses should have Earl's skill level and have cars as fast as they were in Most Wanted, but devs were a bit too enthusiastic about class and tier system so they ruined 90% of the cars. Tuner cars have no acceleration, Muscle cars cant steer and exotics suck being in the middle even on tier 3. In Most Wanted we could have every car handle well with enough upgrades and aerodynamics increased. In Carbon aero doesnt even seem to exist, even ride height is just visual now, while upgrades make 0 difference most of the time aside of nitrous or make things worse.(grip tyres on muscle cars) It's why i both hate and love Carbon, it's music, canyons, atmosphere and characters are great, but gameplay being so much worse compared to Most Wanted makes it both boring and annoying when i replay it.
I've always liked the short videos in the corner showing your opponent's reaction. It felt more immersive (as opposed to your opponents only appearing in pre rendered cutscenes, like in MW). Seeing their disappointed faces when you overtook them was priceless. Pretty neat feature for a 2006 game.
Because there are 4 excellent antagonists in Carbon, but Angie and Kenji are still not finalized, and in Most Wanted there are 15 antagonists, but only Ronnie and Razor stand out
Angie should have of been straight for you only because of how terrible her turns are. i sware to you she was so easy i passed her more time on the on the canyon than the street. i passed her about 5 times just playing around. bro the turns are her factors. you can easily win just by almost every corner you approach with her or just ram her ass off the cliff lol. i won doing both ways.
the difficulty depends on who you do first, who you do Second, and who you do last. I started with tuners. so kenji was easy. then I went to exotics, so wolf was eh. then I suffered in misery as angie thrashed me and my gto time and time again.
+iM3GTR Muscle cars are like taming a wild beast, uncontrollable but incredibly strong if you can tame them. The Viper is the most fun, Corvette is overrated.
I finished the game using only muscles. It was hard at first but at some point you can use the oversteering as a way to corner much faster in the canyons
the thing that makes beating that creep Darius so impossible I think is not the car he drove ( Audi Le Mans aka Audi R8 ) , but it's more to the Canyon Duel race ( touge ) . on the start there's a series of hairpin turns . then some technical corners after an up and down straight. the key to stay behind him and not falling back on the early part of the course was try to get a good eye on the racing line, then try to do " slow in , fast out " technique , as it helps you to gain grounds on his back. try to use any open space to get around him . time the braking before entering a corner and time the throttle when exiting the corner ( most importantly on the sharp bends and hairpin. try not to hit the barriers unless if you want to beat him desperately and needs more edge . plus his car apparently was a 4WD car , so he might speeds up quickly, but might get a bit slower on some points, like going after exiting a sharp bend. if you drive a rear-wheel drive car with a good acceleration , you can use that weakness as your advantage.
Reminding me of yesterday, playing the game again. At the point I went against Wolf with my Acura NSX (yeah I play the Redux mod, best tuner for me) and reached the second round of canyon race, suddenly my car was stopped. Lucky I was on a safe area, not around a cliff, or else... I was confused, what happened? Then it said... "Opponent crashed". He crashed while following me, without anybody hitting him. Hmm. Something that usually happens to players.
The way "After Party" by Dynamite MC plays as the player comes into the scene at the beginning makes it seem like it's the player's theme song and not Wolf's
My boss experience Kenji:easy Wolf:stupidly easy Angie:easy Darius:medium to hard I had to restart about 15 times I cut corners with the first three by downloading all the in game cars with Xbox live dlc
This was the best boss race I played in this game. Angie, Kenji and Darius, I also enjoyed facing them but for me this will always remain my favorite boss race especially when facing Wolf down the canyon 💪

+ProtoKill Same, beat all the bosses in the brera except Darrius. The brera is simply a better car than the DB9 in every way. Not only does it handle better but it has a better average speed since it doesn't lose much speed on corners making it better. The DB9 is trash and Wolf should feel bad for driving it.

I always wanted the actor of the Wolf to act Darius. It would be more suitable because he is such a badass character and he has a unique charisma imo.
I wish that Cross didn't just leave like that. He should've been a boss in the canyon where the only way to win was to run him off the road and down the cliff.
My experience with the stacked deck cars. Wolf - pain in the fucking ass Angie - so so but her laugh is annoying Kenji - whooped ass easily before making the first turn in my 911 turbo Darius - most likely worse than wolfs lambo both were a pain in the ass and hard to complete.

i like muscle cars but i start everytime with tuner because muscles cars are so bad in curves. ..

If you can control the muscle's aggressive acceleration and drifty handling, it can give you an edge on races
