• After escaping the police in Rockport, the protagonist is now seen on his way back to Palmont City in the same BMW M3 GTR, having a flashback of a race against Kenji, Angie and Wolf which resulted in his departure from the city.
The former Sergeant of the RPD, Cross, makes a return appearance in his modified Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, pursuing the player through the canyon, the chase leading to the player's BMW being totalled. It is revealed that Cross is now a bounty hunter.
Right before he can arrest you, the leader of the strongest racing crew in the city (Stacked Deck), Darius, appears in his Audi Le Mans Quattro forcing Cross to leave. A few moments later, the player's ex-girlfriend (Nikki) appears in her Ford GT, being unhappy with his return. In exchange for "being bailed out of a serious jam", the player must regain control (with the help of Nikki) of the different territories in the city that currently belong to rival racing crews, the main ones being: Kenji's Bushido, Wolf's TFK and Angie's 21st Street.
• Nikki's biography - Nikki is 19 at the time of the Hero's disappearance and 24 when he returns, but she changed greatly in the Hero's absence. He was her first big crush and when he left, so did her innocence. Although she subsequently got together with Darius, she is not entirely sure she made the right decision. However, Darius delivered on his promise to let her race full time: the only place she feels truly free and in control of her destiny.
She is an only child, raised by her mom, who is a construction foreman. Although they used to be very close, they have grown distant since she got together with Darius. She has a "father complex"; her dad left when she was a kid, and that anger still resides a bit close to the surface. She started hanging around street racers when she was a young teenager, and her first car was a '69 Camaro. She took it apart and re-assembled her first engine when she was only 10 years old, and her first job was at a local garage frequented by street racers.
One of those racers was our Hero, whom she had a major crush on well before they started dating. He broke her heart when he skipped town at the start of their romance - her affection was reciprocated, but Hero deemed her a bit too young. She has the making of a top racer, but where she really shines is tuning cars for maximum speed.
At the time of Hero's disappearance, she'd made it on a Crew as a Junior Racer (Muscle), but she was still on the sidelines most of the time or helping tune the crew's cars. She feels that she doesn't have anything in common with people her own age and she's very competitive, doesn't expect breaks, and she hesitates to give them out as well. Although she's self-possessed and tough, she is not yet fully aware of her power and beauty; she wants to be sophisticated, but is not worldly, and although Darius is her first real boyfriend, her biggest secret is that she was saving herself for our Hero.

He's affable, a form of comic relief, playful, and mischievous - someone who may not be the bravest of all the racers, but who is doggedly determined to help Hero all the way.

After watching this again, I feel that Darius purposely didn't fix your "totaled" BMW because he was afraid that you'd become too capable too quickly. That M3 accumulated a lot of bounty and a lot of rep throughout Most Wanted. The car made it through the blacklist in at least 3 months, and the driver made it through in a comparable amount of time. The car was driven by two of the most wanted drivers in the world. Why else would Darius not want to repair it? He knew the player would turn on him once he knew what he was doing.

Nikki is hot, but she is so mean to neville. In fact, everyone is mean to neville, why? He is so chill! Here you are, a complete stranger, and he is willing to help you through your entire career. He helps show you the ropes, and smashes up his car so that you can win. Neville is the coolest guy in this game, the fact that everyone is so mean to him makes me kinda sad :-(

Tbh, I completed the entire game using only him as my wingman. He’s got really good bonuses too. He’s very funny and my favorite character in nfs carbon.
@@Islachan19 Neville was one of my favorite crew members as well because I just loved how he naturally was super nice to me from the beginning! Usually the people that help you in racing games can come off a bit mean usually or casually doubt you first before actually liking you later on after seeing what you can do, or they joke on you first.. Neville? He been there cheering me on since the beginning and hasn't had any jealousy or Ill will towards me in the beginning and I love that about him in this game.. They needa bring him back as he also was very relatable of a personality for me because I am also somewhat the comic relief friend and he is funny to me as well.. Neville is heavily underrated just like Sal as he's my secondary favorite
@Jordan Price yeah, he’s very optimistic and funny which is what I like about him. I’ve tried beating the game 3 times with different classes and his cars are awesome not gonna lie. Also, I feel bad for changing any of my crew member’s car vinyls so I just leave that feature alone. I picked the brera on my first playthrough because he wanted a car with nice rims. And then, on his tier 3 car, HE GOT A FRICKING LAMBO damn. So I made my car the same as him and even improved his car. Damn, good times. He’s my go to because of his abilities. So yeah, I’m going to do another run with a brera tomorrow. I play on my og xbox. Thanks for the conversation!

+Kenneth Dinkleburg Or use a profile creator something to drive it in career. In Most Wanted (if you use ShopSpezial though you wont get the awesome vinyl) its better because the AI there adjusts to your cars performance so your M3 in the beginning has a chance od losing to a TT.

Technically in cross update on the characters record he’s most wanted criminal in the whole world not just rockport.

This Wasnt A Bad Game Neither Was Underground 2 But My Favourite Will Always Be Most Wanted 2005 .........
I quite liked the ' 2005 Most Wanted ' , but the things I really hated about the game was the visual customization feature , Razor and the spike strips ( stingers ).
First, the visual customization feature. I'm not talking about exterior customization, but I'm talking about the looks. the visual customization is made to lower the car's heat level greatly. But when it comes to vinyls aka cutting stickers, you can only apply one layer of vinyl. it's very different from Underground 2 and Carbon, where you can apply more than one layer of vinyl. Yes , it's good, but not good enough. How can the player's car stands out from the AI opponents and Blacklist bosses with just one layer of vinyl? I mean, most of the blacklist racers has unique paint scheme on their cars and logically it takes more than a layer of cutting stickers to make one.
Second, about Razor. be honest, I hate Razor for two things : one, having his infernal friends to ruin the player's BMW in the intro so the player lose the race against him and then taking the BMW away from the player ( because Razor and the player both placed the pink slips or their cars as the bet and it's a winner-takes-all play ) , and two , harassing the player on the career mode by any means possible, like sending harassment sms ( usually through the sms he tells the player that the player won't be on the top of the blacklist, fake warnings , pretending to be friendly to player, blah blah blah and so on ) , paying people to shred the player, and so on. He just a dirty player.
Finally, the spike strips. It's appalling because if you hit one , you can't move the car at all , assuming the tires are popped. but in Carbon, even if you went through those spikes and your tires are popped, you still can run the car despite it goes gradually slower and slower.

@@RazorSharp75426if you played NFS MW enough, you'd realise that spike strips always turn up on the left side when on a normal sized road, on the right on a narrow road, and in the middle/exterior when on a motorway or wide road. And by road size I mean the distance from pavement (sidewalk in US English) to pavement. Know the game algorithm and spike strips aren't scary at all.

I just remember it with such nicer graphics along with that tv but then i realised looking at some videos that is just the nostalgia doing its work , and god i wish they would make it with amazing graphics nowadays

MartiGTR I agree that EMP devices (which they plainly got from 2 Fast 2 Furious) don’t exist but they would disable a ‘69 Charger as it still uses electronics to spark the fuel.
This game still looks good and has a nice soundtrack. EA needs to learn from their past games.

the race cutscene in this game are amazing and feel like car racing movie. i wish they make cutscene like this again.
tips to get 100% completion easier:
1.choose the RX8 as your starter car
2.after winning the first 3 races, upgrade your car so the handling and accel goes higher than stock (top speed dont matter)
3.beat kenji and get his RX7 (if you dont get his pink slip just dont save and quit then beat kenji again until you get his RX7)
4.beat angie and get her charger to defeat wolf
5.play free roam challenges 10 times with wolf's db9
6.unlock and buy a dodge viper or corvette when you have conquered 3 territories (unlock it in silverton)
7.finish all remaining races with a fully upgraded corvette or viper
8.before defeating darius win 20 defensive races first
9.defeat darius
10.win the remaining 40 free roam challenges
11.finish all reward cards and challenge series
12.you are done
note that if you dont finish all 20 defensive races before challenging darius defensive race will be turned off once you beat him and get all 3 pink slips and buy 6 cars

The career intro never gets old, especially with the mysterious sound effects that are included right when the career intro cutscene immediately plays
one of the most disappointing things in NFS Carbon was when they put the Mercedes Benz CLK 500 into Carbon, for example, it doesn't run the same realism as in Most Wanted. in Most Wanted the CLK wasn't a low tier car and it wasn't available to buy until a little later in the career mode , probably after beating the latter blacklist racers ( up to Kaze , blacklist #7 if I'm not mistaken ) . And when I test the car it has 7 gears and it's a pretty quick and fast car ( I forgot the actual top speed of the car , both in real life and in Most Wanted ) . but, in Carbon , this car was put into Tier One level, and the car's acceleration and top speed is pathetically decreased by the devs . And also the amount of gears the car has, it's reduced to 5 or 6 gears. I used to test that car in the Carbon , on fully tuned parts , and it doesn't run as fast as it was in Most Wanted. so , all in all, some of the cars got decreased performance physics and some other probably gets overrated performance physics. I can bet if they made the CLK run as fast as it was in Most Wanted , they have to put the car on Tier Two.

This was my first of the very few NFS games I’ve owned and it stuck with me more than the others.
My God those cutscenes look awesome! I love the dark blue and black colour theme they have as well as the dark vibe this has. Also the real actors it's all so beautiful, man i totally gotta buy this game.
why is the bounty so low

Mine was ~63 million.
Because there’s a lot of reasons Why the player’s Bounty decreased too much:
1. Darius couldn’t pay that amount of Bounty, its too big
2. When the player left Rockport, the Bounty decreased because of the other racers that’s destroying the city and the interest decreased for the player.
3. Other / more other reasons
@@aleksandr_elkov 1. Agreed, perhaps Crock said his bounty was lower than it actually was, so Darius would be more willing to pay for it, that way Crock's money is easier.
2. My theory is that there was a LOT of time between Rockport and Palmont City, remember, by the time Player reached the Carbon Canyons, Crock had already managed to get rid of his job, get a new corvette, tune and modify it like hell, paint it, add decals, all that. There's also a lot more I can't remember. There could be another entire NFS game between Most Wanted and Carbon. Remember, during the travel from Rockport to Palmont, the M3 GTR loses a lot of power. Perhaps Player was escaping from somewhere, and the GTR wasn't doing too good for some reason.

They did a really good job on the tone of this game. It's much darker than Most Wanted, and appropriately so.
You mean darker than Underground. Most Wanted was set in daytime and shares the same mechanics.

That’s just what I had after completing the game to 100%. Racked up lots of extra bounty trying to claw my way up to the top spot in all pursuit categories on the rap sheet for both single pursuits/lifetime.
It takes 10 million before you can face Razor though.

Kirigaya Kazuto Basically Samantha (The chick from the first Underground) called the protagonist about a party, suddenly a mysterious caller (Either the main antagonist of Underground 2 or one of his goons) called the protagonist, offering him to join a gang. The protagonist refuses, and during the ride back to Samantha, A Hummer M2 appeared from an alleyway at full speed, which totaled the Nissan.
