If this game came out in America, I'm positive we would'v gotten this game in the 10 free GBA games for early buyers of the 3DS. Nothing against Maximum Velocity, but this game just looks so much better, plus its got Captain Falcon too.
The Captain Falcon in GP Legend and Climax is not the same one from earlier F-Zero games. The anime series and associated games belong to a separate canon.

Pretty surreal how opponents have absolute positions on the tracks in this game, to the point where depending on the course layout, you can even see opponents further down the grid as you jump over previous sections of the track. In past F-Zero pseudo-3D games, opponents just have that weird rubberbanding effect and can keep up on even the biggest of shortcuts.
Why us westerners never got a localization of F-Zero Climax is beyond me. Maybe because of F-Zero GP Legend being a flop on the FoxBox. Nah, that’s just silly. This game should have gotten an NA/EU/AUS release.
