Nah, I liked DD-1 a lot too. It may be one of the few times I had to learn to use the brakes, as in most of the tracks you simply can't do certain turns without slamming into a wall if you don't use them, but it goes _very_ smoothly if you just reduce the speed a bit. I went from struggling to clear Devil's Forest 3 to "I only don't get 1st if I screw up royally" just from realizing this. I also noticed Silence 3 already tries to hammer this in, because if you go too fast you fly out of the loop and that's an instant loss. Sand Ocean 3 also has this to a lesser extent, since the most important thing on it is to keep your grip on the cylinder, but usually you shouldn't need the brakes much. I think the cup was very well designed considering this, I can't pick any level I _didn't_ have fun on it.
I gotta say this is the hardest cup i ever beated in a racing game in my life even harder than 200cc cups on Mario kart 8. It such an huge challenge to get to 1st place while avoiding death and trying to boost as many times as i can!! Always remembering f-zero X to be one of hardest game i've beated!
Both DD cups are 'harder' to race, but it also affects the oponents. Because they die so much, is easier to win, even if you dont get 1* on any race. I won DD1 cup getting around 8 in a lot of races 😂.
Mute City 4 - Slim Half Pipe Space Plant 2 - Straight Jumps Port Town 4 - Trap Road Fire Field 2 - 180 Rollover White Land 3 - Great Star Big Foot - Very Deadly Curves
Totally agree that the game is almost unplayable with any other sticks than the 64 one. Maybe the Xbox elite one would be good though because you can tweak the stick tension but I never used it. You actually play quite well with a 360 stick, it's nice to see a middle ground player for once, no advanced play but you got all the basics right.
I think the idea is that if you head back towards the track before falling down too far, you pop back up on top of the track. I was just at the edge and did a side attack to the right as I was falling. I don't think that's the first time I've seen that, but I would say it's fairly rare that it happens. Definitely not something I was purposely doing.
That's a little tricky, but it's still not that insane to do. There are other videos such as this one where it is done better than me. ruclips.net/video/Yp4Ew7UHicY/видео.html
Is there any reason why Captain Falcon, Samurai Goroh, and Jody Summer don't have the new portraits and vehicles in your disc drive videos? Is it something that can be toggled or what?
Looks like this one was answered before I got to it. I did know about those machines when I played this game, but I didn't look into how to actually use them.
I know with the nrage controller plugin, you could change the range and deadzone, but I think that's all I changed when I played this. There might be better options out there now, but I'm not familiar with them.
No, it is not an excuse. I already said that I'm not particularly good at the game and that statement would be enough by itself. That doesn't mean that the controller I use isn't making things a little more difficult for me. An original N64 joystick, when in good condition, I find is easier to make smaller adjustments with. That is, not going to the extreme left or right. There are many times in this game where going too far to one side or the other with the joystick will make you slip out. Of course, you can use side attacks to do some turns, but it's preferable not to if you don't have to.. It's not like this is a huge game changing thing, but I still consider it important enough to be worth noting.
@@arronmunroe My guy take pride in your accomplishment. You are obviously particularly good at this game, you completed the hardest cup on the hardest difficulty. Saying you're not good at it after completing this cup on master is discouraging to people who are trying to learn the game for themselves!
I certainly wasn't trying to discourage anyone trying to beat this game, and it absolutely is an accomplishment to do so. Still, good is a relative term, and what I was trying to convey had more to do with those who would look at this video expecting me to get first place every time, not to use any lives restarting the race, or perhaps to just play better in general.
This isn't a cup,this is a fight for survival.
7:47 HOLY SHIT THAT’S INCREDIBLE
DD-1 feels like a bunch of weird beta tracks, but DD-2 feels like a well designed final cup!!

I thought the Joker Cup on Master was tough as a kid, but this cup looks like it puts the Joker Cup to shame!
Beated ???? Really dude ? Come on …

Thanks for the translator.😊😊😊
So many cars are dying on some of these tracks that it may as well be Death Race
Damn!! Fire Field 2 looks like a BANGER! As do Space Plant 2 and Mute City 4!
Big Foot to me is the biggest one of all.
wtf that big foot track was brutal.
more than half of the entire racers were freaking dead lol

11:44 - how did you recover from what appears to be the start of falling off the track?

I dunno what was harder, Big Hand or Big Foot?
Big Foot is much much much difficult than Big Hand
7:47-7:48 were you a god for a split second?!?

arronmunroe *watches vid* Not bad, continue being awesome and "BOOST FIRE!"
That was captain falcon himself playing the game
Captain falcoruuuuu.
For a second, I thought the stars were wanted level, only they are just player KOs.
12:58 I giggled
I love that he did the exact same thing to The Skull on Big Hand in his Joker Cup run.

Yeah, you can use the custom machine menu to switch their machines with their super variants and vice-versa.
Looks like this one was answered before I got to it. I did know about those machines when I played this game, but I didn't look into how to actually use them.
Yes, they're using custom machines then.
How can you calibrate the joystick for the emulator?

HOW COULD THEY NOT USE THE MUTE CITY THEME FOR MUTE CITY?!
why is the n64 stick better than the 360 stick? is this just an excuse for lacking skill?
