Let's hold the administrators at FMCSA to the same standard before allowing them to change policies regarding commercial vehicles.
Every time a company asked me for a hair test, I took it as absolute disrespect and went somewhere else.
If you refuse hair test and tell them you will do a dot urine and they say no will day put it on your dac report? That you refused hair test

What has boggled my mind is that I have received waivers for certain medications that I'm sure definitely effect the way I drive, and so hv many other drivers. I personally think everything should be treated like alcohol, if you on not under the influence while driving, you should be go to go.

Any company that you apply too can request you to take the hair test.
Its a lot of evil people in the world. So many people who go outve their way to make it harder for others to make it. Idk if these people have had negative pasts or were bullied as youths or not but something made them wake up one day and decide to become advocates of making things harder for other people. Aka gatekeeping. They need therapy not podiums.
The fmcsa had shut down the request for the hair testing. The new director said she has no control over it that's why. This is what o got from the Asian Mai show aka mutha truckas

I would absolutely love to become a CDL driver, but I will never be able to because I use THC for help with my mental health. It's completely understandable that on-duty use is zero-tolerance unacceptable... but how is it a companies' business what I put in my body when I'm home?
So true. You'll also have stuck up drivers look down on you, acting like they are better than you cause you smoke pot to sleep when you are in your own home and not working. Then those same ppl will down 12 beers soon as they get home and somehow that's ok... some ppl smoke a couple times a week and they are made to look like criminals. But getting sloppy drunk is somehow ok...
I’m not a user of alcohol or pot but hair testing should not be used unless you pop positive on a urine or blood test . Or if your collecting welfare checks

Is hair testing still ineligible to be shared with other potential employers? Im a former drug user, and just got my permit and am trying to turn my life around, and dont want to get screwed because of something i did a long time ago.
Can’t be reported to the Clearinghouse but could presumably be shared manually outside the Clearinghouse.
They will put it on your daca that will follow you around

I’m heading to a mega carrier and I was taking pain medication for a injury I had and I stopped taking the medication about a month ago I was told it stays in your hair for three months . But I have the paperwork from my doctor saying I was prescribed the medication. I should be good to go right?
If you test positive on a urinalysis test, you’ll have to explain the situation to the Medical Review Officer and then it will be up to him to determine whether there is a legitimate medical explanation to report it as a negative result.
@@Trucksafe thank you for the information I went to my doctors office and got the paperwork saying I was prescribed the medication but I was told that it only stays in your urine up to a week so I’m going to truck training in about two weeks and I have a bout a week and a half of not taking the medication so I should be OK right?

State traffic laws, yes. But in this context specifically, federal regs trump state legalization of marijuana for drivers subject to the federal rules.

4.05 wrong brother I'm a owner and we drug test my driver with hair and blood nthe pee test can be fixed and there many videos on that today all over RUclips and other social media sites.. i report all my driver finding because we pay for the test and if a driver is kiting to us other will know there a black list we out drive on and all other can see.. that not the only site to report driver who used drug or using drug.. ever wonder why we do pull notices of your records and driver license.. and here where we can report our finding to.. i had driver who use coke and not the drink and all now on this list and can't get a good paying job because of that. Come on people with today tech we can write anything and other will know.. simple look on the web and you can find what we wrote about a employee facts.. and here where we write down why we cut them lose..
If you’re reporting findings from a hair test, you can be fined up to $13,000 per instance. Seen it happen dozens of times. Check with your local FMCSA office if you don’t believe us.

I help other turn there life around as long as they ready not in the dumb shit. All my drivers are pro.. some came from a bastt back round and reformed today knowing hard work get you there then faster way. When those who don't know will speak out of turn. After work I can drink alcohol... Why can't I smoke some marijuana after work...???? Recreational marijuana is legal in over half the state's... There is thousands of damm good experience truck drivers that like to smoke after work... That is where your shortage is...
