Yuki Kajiura does this. The first song by Yuki Kajiura with a flute this nice was "Hitomi no Kakera" (OP Theme from Madlax Anime). Back then, she was producing a band called Fiction Junction that did most of the Opening and closing themes. Kalafina came with Kara no Kyoukai movies.
If you follow akagi rie (the flute player), you will know that she’s actually plays a lot of jazz and Kajiura 100% tailored that solo flute part for her!
I absolutely adore this song. Soranowoto was pretty fun, but this is truly the best thing to come from it. That bridge. That flute solo. The vocals. The dresses. The instrumentation. EVERYTHING. Aaahhhh. I really hope to see this live one day.

Well, if you look at their other songs, on the clips, they are always dressed in accordance to the...I dunno, the atmosphere that the music gives out, and, I can't really say since I don't know much about slavic songs, but I think it is quite fitting. ^^
I do not know ... this song does not resemble me anything ... but is quite likely that the entire song is inspired by Slavic music .. I also do not know all the Slavic styles of music .. because Slavic nationalities are many :) Well, nature in MV is also similar to our natural conditions ... I was just fascinated that I glimpse something Slavic :)

More than a decade ago I watched Sora no Woto and since then this song has been with me. In her is something in it that cannot be explained, something for which one cannot find words. And all these years I have seen that other people also feel an inexplicable craving for her. Truly if light became sound, it would become this melody.
Kalafina's concert in Mexico was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever been. Thank you Kalafina for those precious memories. Meeting Wakana was amazing, she was so nice and tender while signing my poster ♥
This song first made me fall in love with Hikaru, with her gentle vocal take on the verses and expressiveness both vocally and in the MV, even though I really didn't know her apart from watching the 10th anniversary live (first time I ever saw them) but loved her tone. She became my favourite. For a long time, I didn't even pay attention to the others. ☺☺ She's still my favourite and I'm still sad about her vocal issues. I kept arguing with people who said that HIkaru didn't sing the high head voice/falsetto harmony part in the chorus (and that it was purely Yuriko) as that was part of what even solidified my love of Hikaru vocally as well as visually. I still think she sang as she can sing unsupported falsetto that high. Seriously didn't even look at Wakana and Keiko back then though I kept watching recommendations (Kalafina obsession). I first *properly* noticed Wakana in "Ring Your Bell" especially the "goddess scene" during the bridge where she looked at the camera intently in slow motion. It was like she was looking straight into your eyes - captivating. Then I kept looking for that experience. Keiko shone for me in "Symphonia", but they all looked lovely in that video. Watching Hikaru on YKL stage singing "Sprinter" (via RUclips) was like closure for me! That was one of my favourite things that I saw in 2022! HIkaru is still Hikaru. Keiko is still Keiko. Wakana is still Wakana. Kalafina was a real musical odyssey!
Ever since I heard Kalafina during the summer of 2015 I was captivated by their singing the music and them , what incredible music and I don't think that I've heard any music as beautiful in all my 60 years!

@@crystalbarnes4876 This isn't that surprising since Yuki Kajiura parted ways with her manager but man, I hope that doesn't affect the next Madoka Magica project (assuming it ever happens), because the endings for both the main series and the sequel movie were by Kalafina. Hopefully Kajiura can pull something off, because a Madoka Magica project just wouldn't be quite the same without an opening by ClariS and an ending by Kalafina (though I'd watch it all the same regardless of Kalafina's involvement). Kalafina will be missed, because they had quite the unique (and awesome) style to them.

Kalafina's concert in Mexico was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever been. Thank you Kalafina for those precious memories. Meeting Wakana was amazing, she was so nice and tender while signing my poster ♥

It remember some native musics of my country
This song first made me fall in love with Hikaru, with her gentle vocal take on the verses and expressiveness both vocally and in the MV, even though I really didn't know her apart from watching the 10th anniversary live (first time I ever saw them) but loved her tone. She became my favourite. For a long time, I didn't even pay attention to the others. ☺☺ She's still my favourite and I'm still sad about her vocal issues.
I kept arguing with people who said that HIkaru didn't sing the high head voice/falsetto harmony part in the chorus (and that it was purely Yuriko) as that was part of what even solidified my love of Hikaru vocally as well as visually. I still think she sang as she can sing unsupported falsetto that high.
Seriously didn't even look at Wakana and Keiko back then though I kept watching recommendations (Kalafina obsession). I first *properly* noticed Wakana in "Ring Your Bell" especially the "goddess scene" during the bridge where she looked at the camera intently in slow motion. It was like she was looking straight into your eyes - captivating. Then I kept looking for that experience.
Keiko shone for me in "Symphonia", but they all looked lovely in that video.
Watching Hikaru on YKL stage singing "Sprinter" (via RUclips) was like closure for me! That was one of my favourite things that I saw in 2022!
HIkaru is still Hikaru. Keiko is still Keiko. Wakana is still Wakana. Kalafina was a real musical odyssey!

Syf zalewa internet, osobiście w dupie mam amerykańskie gówno i wolę słuchać japońskich piosenek (tutaj przynajmniej nie ma co chwilę tematu narkotyków, dziwek, seksu itp.)

@@Eric_04 It means they disbanded... I saw the news yesterday. Something along the lines of "since the contract of Kajiura Yuki ended, and in addition the group has not been active since February 2018, and one of the members are leaving (I think), we have deiced to disband the group."

This isn't that surprising since Yuki Kajiura parted ways with her manager but man, I hope that doesn't affect the next Madoka Magica project (assuming it ever happens), because the endings for both the main series and the sequel movie were by Kalafina. Hopefully Kajiura can pull something off, because a Madoka Magica project just wouldn't be quite the same without an opening by ClariS and an ending by Kalafina (though I'd watch it all the same regardless of Kalafina's involvement).
Kalafina will be missed, because they had quite the unique (and awesome) style to them.
