"There's so much secret shit going on in the world, nobody cares..."
    Outstanding quote from the podcast.
Keeping it real Mike, thanks. This is without a doubt one of the best interviews I've seen. For an SOF Veteran who's been involved with so much for so long, Tom is very, I don't want to say relaxed, but his composure is truly remarkable. He's walked through the valley, and has cast off the demons through healing himself.
Bravo, and a crisp hand salute, Command Sergeant Major!

Mike, I’ve been following you since the beginning, along with Shawn Ryan. You guys introduced me to this world and I am fully invested in listening to these great warriors tell their stories. I owe you a debt of gratitude, so thank you. This was another great story of a great American hero, and 1 of my favorite spec ops guys to listen to. Thank you Tom for your service, and for what you do for our heroes. You and your wife are amazing and I look forward to meeting you one day. Great interview Mike. It has been 2.5 years since I started listening to you guys, Shawn, Jocko, and you. Each of the warriors have taught me something about myself. The first was my TBI. I am a civilian, and how I got that. I thought my anger issues were from that. Well, well, watching Tom and his mannerisms was like watching myself in a mirror. Having PTS just doesnt seem possible, coming from the socioeconomics that I did. It also seemed like I was using it to blame something or someone else for my shit. And I couldnt relate to your war experiences, so why would I have PTS? It took me a month to get through Tom's interview. And I didnt find this until I saw Blackhawk Down for the first time. And then seeing and hearing Tom, and I see myself so much better. Now I have to figure out where the trauma was and admit it, and the shame I felt and fought. Thanks, guys, so much.

I had the privilege of meeting Gary Harrell about two years ago, not long before he passed away…but he told me about the artillery/mortar shell incident and a few other small details that not many knew about the real events that happened. A feeble old woman can kill. The comment doesn't look like much is very silly. No one knows what's in a man's heart. Tom Flattery was the smallest man who ever served in the military and was pure hell on the enemy. What you look like on the outside means absolutely 💩. It's what's on the inside that counts.
