Yes, yes it is. ^^
The issue is I really don't count those as a "Proper armour system" like I try and explain in the video, I've used them countless times on countless techs but just a small lump of health on items really doesn't do much in the game where the weapons can just chew through them so easily & splash/focused weapons are so frequent. I'm talking about more of a new system entirely to give an alternative to shields! One day, I will have my shiny armour system! :)
@@Lathland I have an idea for a new armour system.
First off, the armour would be able to be used with shields. There would be different tiers of armour plating or paint or even a module/trophy system. Instead of having more health than usual, it would midigate damage based on the tier. Example: Tier 1: 12.5% damage reduction Tier 2: 17.5% damage reduction and so on. It would not require power, but it would be heavy and take lots more space than shields. The damage reduction would not work on shields, only blocks.This could solve the splash damage problem.
There could also be some form of point defense tech. Point defense turrets can shoot down projectiles, but uses power, and cannot be used on energy weapons.
Lathland you could call the tech something along the lines of spider because it has eight wheels and eight lasers that look slightly like eyes...
(p.s. sorry for invading this conversation this was the first place I could to make sure you actually see this...)

@@Midna_174 - Yeah, thanks! It was a simple idea, simple execution - 4 copies of Turret Joe (from the early GSO missions, each 'paying' charge in to the central power bank, which will recharge any that get low.
I was surprised how long one of them held out against those disk lasers, actually...

@@ZeroGravitas I would love to see if Lathrix could learn anything from your design. I know that if my computer could run Terratech, I would learn a lot.
@@Midna_174 Lath's a smart cookie with a bunch of great novel ideas of his own and a very entertaining way to show them off.
I think he does a great job of playing the game on the behalf of many people. But I hope you get a good PC some time, to play yourself. If that's what you want. :-)
my comp is a potato that was crap even in 2013 and can run terratech
maybe not at super hi def settings, but its playable
sadly none of my techs that i ever submitted for community core were ever put in, congrats ZG

1. You could add magnets on your bot to remove damaged parts from enemies
2. In addition, you can stuck a small bot (just cabin + venture blackhole) inside your bot, and it will collect all parts almost immediately

But for driving around or flying, they don't move at all
I wish there was a system where kinetic type weapons were effective against shields, but not as effective against armor and the oposite for energy weapons

Hey Lathrix. (Or if a slim chance you see this; honestly that would be amazing. "Blood for the Blood God!")
As regards to the new paints in Terratech I've found that the alternate skins works really well for if not all of the Factions, For example Hawkeye and Alternate Better Future skin works really well. Same goes for GSO's Alternate skin and Geo's regular skin. As for Venture I think they'll work decently with Better Future's regular paint but I haven't played around with it for myself and as for Geo's Alternate heck if I know what Combination that can blend well.
Though that's just my opinions, who knows anyone's guess is as good as mine. 3X
Not sure if you saw this on the last video, and I haven’t played terratech in a while, but if you can change the rotation of the cab without destroying the craft, change the rotation of the sky-bases cab so the hanger ( or battery section) is the front.

Lath I just had the best idea you could do in this game: build a snowmobile-like vehicle using the better future landing gear and either tank tracks or wheels and the rest is up to you. Would be cool to see what you come up with, it would be like a fun build, y'know? :) ...by the way, the "cool" pun? totally intended xD
Lathland - considering that you want a mobile SCU on this Corpse Collecter tech, and you have Sky Anchors, perhaps you should just put a normal SCU on the back and then be able to collect stuff when you anchor -- and with Sky Anchors, you can still move a bit.
And yes, Lathland -- I agree -- TerraTech needs a better armor system

Even after your shields are down you still have a chance, I one made a Geocorp tech that takes 12 minutes to kill after the shields are down.
You should build a tech with the venture tracks (yes I know it’s better future campaign)
Or use some companions that will follow you around and fight with you since you haven’t in forever.

So something I do with my techs that could help you out is I put an SCU on the back of the tech then when I need to collect things I just take it off and place it down then put it back when I am done. This saves a ton of time having to scroll through the storage for my SCU.

You could make a normal assault craft with rail guns and sniper type weapons but you add a vtol system using propellers, heli-blades, anti-grav, etc. It would be similar to north star from Titanfall 2.
You should make a ski craft with the landing gear soon or a plane.

I have a suggestion. What if you put an ecu on the scrapper tech so you can anchor pick up blocks AND recharge. That way you won’t have to keep grabbing the ecu and you can recharge

When cleaning up a giant amount of blocks, you should prob use the geotech scu, because it has a much wider range.
Looking forward to the Sonic Zero G. How are you going to get the timeing right for that? If they both go off at the same time the vehicle will get pushed back before the zero g has a chance to float it first? The control block?

I suspect the devs just removed the Twitter search feature entirely from campaign spawns. It was creating 40 second hangs on loading all saves, since implementing the new snapshot interpreter for compatibility with the new Unity update.

@Alexander Reeve actually you can't have enough dakka, the minimum amount of required dakka is 100 bullets slugs and rockets per star in the observable universe, and the muzzle flash bright enough to outshine galaxies.
