Please understand that bacteriophages probably don't move this way. While this does illustrate the lysis and propagation process, this is just my interpretation of a modified phage and is done for entertainment purposes only. Phages attack bacteria, not viruses.

No. Modified bacteriophages target one single family of bacteria and have different properties. Say, it’s a homing missile. The family targeted will attract these bacteriophages. So, your fine while some antibiotic resistant bacteria perishes. If it becomes immune to a few species of bacteriophages, you can use antibiotics because resistance to it will weaken due to effort put in defending it from bacteriophages. So, your wrong. Bacteriophages target a specific type of bacteria *such as shown in this vid* and a few of it’s relatives and leaves you alone. They can’t infect human cells nor other bacteria due to restrictions of NATURE.

Backteriophages can either be RNA or DNA. However, once the phage punctures a cell and injects it with its genetic material, it basically highjacks the cell and forces it to make more of the same bacteriophage, which then goes on to infect other cells

Probably necroposting but recently, I've been fighting this nasty infection in a tube in my kidney that just wouldn't go away. Initially my doctor proposed just pulling the tube out(for context, I'm a kidney transplant patient) but now, they're considering going through a bacteriophage treatment by introducing a type of phage to kill the bacterial infection within that said tube. Hoping for it to work! Feeling like I'm part of some very advanced medical leap haha
