Hi! I'm currently applying for this program and it's my dream school! But do you think it's worth it if I take the program fully online? I'm close to LA so there are major beauty/fashion brands near me, what do you think?

Hey! Good question! I feel like if you are in LA you still would have a lot of opportunity! I have considered moving to LA myself. I think LA is probably the second best city for fashion etc.. after NYC in the states so I feel like you’d be in a good spot even if you took the online program! And like I mentioned if it’s your dream school and you get in, at the end of the day you can say you went to your dream school ❤️

Is there a reason why you did not stay in NYC (hope this isn't too intrusive)? Just accepted my admission into the MPS-FM program! Not sure if I'll stay in NYC or go back to Toronto either

Hi there! No worries, and thanks so much for watching! I moved because my long distance partner lived in Toronto so you could say I moved for love lol ! But I would 100% stay in NYC unless you have connections in Toronto. I just think the Toronto fashion industry seems to pay way less than New York and is a lot more competitive for jobs!
In regard to finding my jobs I just used LinkedIn!!! And got a call back from submitting my applications! 🥰
But lmk if you have any other questions! I’m happy to help answer them! And congrats for getting into the program 💕💕💕❤️❤️❤️

Hi, thank you so much for making this video, you helped me the most emotionally because you described all my worries and fears i'm facing right now. I've done my undergraduate in commerce and have no background in fashion and no special or outstanding skills but i really wanna do make a career in fashion management/business and get in a good school to start learning. I also live in a south asian country so it's gonna be a very big decision on moving for the course, plus all the cost and expenses considering i don't have the massive parental and financial support. That is why i've been thinking a lot about doing some online courses/certificates before actually deciding to move for masters. Is there anything, like any guide/tips or certificates you would suggest me to take up for this purpose, it would really be a big help. And also are online short courses worth it, are they any help because some of them i saw are actually expensive. Thank you so much again you really sounded like a big sister helping out while talking

Hey!! Awe thank you so much for taking the time to comment. I am so grateful and I am so happy that my video was able to help you. I did also take some certificate courses before deciding whether I wanted to go forward with a masters degree. There are courses through Yellow Brick and parsons which I have reviews on my channel (from a few years back) on those courses. Also, if you are interested in the LVMH companies they have a certificate as well, which I believe is free. Definitely check those out to see if any would help you. I would say they were interesting but not sure if they will help you career wise.
I hope this helps you out a bit and so happy to be your internet big sister 🩷🩷🩷🩷 Always here for you if you have any other questions!
