You have a great taste of movies. It's my favourite movie and it's really a pleasure to watch someone truly appreciate this masterpiece. Guru Dutt was a legendary director and this movie was his finest art. Lots of love from India🇮🇳

One of the finest masterpieces to be ever made in cinematic history.
This classic grows on you pulling you inextricably into its powerful and poignant storytelling.
Outstanding cinematography by V.K. Murthy, coupled with a timeless musical score, and directorial excellence that steers clear of any stereotype, makes this a powerful cinematic journey.
The profoundly sensitive performance by Guru Dutt as Vijay, the out of luck poet, is one of the finest portrayals ever on celluloid.
Waheeda Rehman as Gulabo, a prostitute who loves him unconditionally, and the opportunistic and selfish Mala Sinha, Vijay's college sweetheart, give memorable performances.
Finally, Johnnie Walker as Abdul Sattar, Vijay's friend, carves out an endearing comedy act that remains etched in your mind. His comic timing is matchless.
The pathos in the songs of Mohammad Rafi make you want to weep over and over again.
This is indeed classic cinema at its best.
PYAASA is an absolute must watch movie before one dies.
I have watched it over countless times...in the theatre, at home on an hd projector on a 120 inch screen, and practically died admiring its sheer magnificence and aesthetic Finally, I simply gave up counting. It's pointless to keep count of watching perfection on celluloid.
It's perfectly okay for a connoisseur of movies to watch Guru Dutt's masterpieces, and forget all the other movies ever made in Indian cinema history.
PYAASA, along with KAGAZ KE PHOOL, happen to be the two best things that have singularly proved to be the raison d'etre of my life.
They have made my life worth living!
