Wow, VK murthy was the inspiration behind Gurudutt's movies...most of the scenes in his movies were framed by VK Murthy 's idea. Cinematographers are so underrated.
Legends Live Forever. V. K. Murthy is a national treasure and all Indians should be proud of his contributions to the Indian cinema. Thanks for making this documentary and showing it to the world!
Beautiful tribute I just discovered. Was close to ‘Kutti mama’ and family growing up in DeviNivas Sion Mumbai. Inspired us as he steered our creative sides in drama, music, art. I vividly recall getting schooled during my last visit with him in Bangalore when I asked if he had ever taken up painting- he replied -‘all my life- with light on film’! Great man and illustrious career- well captured.
Kutti mama???? That's very much a Malayalam word used to call younger uncle. VK murthy is Telugu right? What's the Malayalam connection. Just curious to know!
