  • This live performance is from a webcast filmed on April 7, 2005 at The Grove of Anaheim, Anaheim, CA.
The entire performance is still available on the Joe Satriani tribute site, foreverjoe.com/, in two Quicktime file variations. This explains the unfortunate video quality.

2:40 Galen Henson finally has his 15 seconds of fame. I was watching some rehearsal videos and I got the impression Joe was kinda harsh on him, dude has to stay in the background all the time and play like a robot, must be a tough job. Do anyone know how Joe ended up with him as rhythm guitarist out of thousands out there in the whole world? And not only that, stayed years and years with the band. Not bashing up the guy, just curious about the history.

he is/was also the tour/production manager, so I don´t think he cares about not having his 15 seconds of fame xD

For Joes type of music, most of the time, you wouldn’t even need a rhythm guitar player. Even most of his solos doesn’t require a second guitar player. So whoever else who’d play with him for Joes songs ought to expect little playing.

Not sure what Joe is like personally and how he is to get on with! I thought he was quite humble until he took action against Coldplay which i was astounded by! They probably didn't even know who he was and i genually belived that! I love his music but this was a new low in my opinion!
