Daihatsu it’s the most underrated brand in the world , they are not flashy or luxurious , but they are so reliable and durable , you can’t go wrong with those cars , pure value.

I'd have one of those daihatsu cuore customs in a heartbeat. It's a shame there is precisely 2 on UK roads and I've never seen one for sale. I've got a mate with a seicento and he absolutely loves it to pieces, space is really not as bad as they make out.

In Ireland and managed to get my hands on a Cuore that had been off the road for 7 years. Currently on 32000 miles and in fantastic condition for a 20 year old car. Such a fun little car to drive and at the very least if you really drive it, you'll get 35mpg.

Cuore has more space than Seicento, is faster, better looking, better quality all around, more practical, more reliable, much safer and was also cheaper.
    No comparison really...

I've driven both cars at one time or another and have *very* positive experiences of each.
I LOVED the way the Cuore (and Perodua Kelisa) drove.
I think the Cuore does win overall, however I think there's A LOT that gets overlooked about the Seicento's strengths.
      This is what I would say was in the Fiat's favour;
      - more character (VERY rare to find in any car from the time, and particularly now)
      - better parts availability
      - more choice (of those to buy these days)
      - good for the young at heart (beats the Cuore in this respect)
      - stood the test of time as a future classic in my opinion better than the Cuore
      - staying power. A car that you want to come back to again and again and again - even after several decades (as I can attest to)
      - entertaining, whereas the Daihatsu is... interesting (but not _quite_ entertaining like the Fiat)
      - puts a smile on your face because of its nature, whereas the Cuore feels "comfortable" but still fun
Which would *_I_* choose if it were me?
If I were purely _pragmatic_ about it, then of course the Daihatsu.
If I were... inventive, then the Fiat.
But I'd need to use my imagination to work around the limitations of the Seicento to reconcile the drawbacks in comparison to the Cuore.
      It is possible.

@@letsdiscussitoversometea8479 good points, Seicento for sure is still legit for a cheap first city car, no doubt about that.
Personally, after owned many small cars, I would choose a first gen Suzuki Wagon R, really amazing package for it's price with plenty of character and coolness also :)

    • @letsdiscussitoversometea8479

      @@mercedesw211classic The Wagon R...
Considered that quite a few times as well.
They released a "motorhome" model called the Vikestian that I know somebody not too far away from me has one of (just happen to see it parked up from time to time) - though that was a later model (twinned with the first generation Agila).
Had quite a bit of character the first generation Wagon R, but _cool??_
"Dinky toy" would've been *my* description!
Love Japanese Kei cars in general anyway, but I still think the Mira Avanzato TR-XX retains the title of "coolest" kei car overall.
Had brochures for the Cuore, Seicento, Kelisa (even the Kenari, which wasn't a proper brochure - just an information sheet ☹️).
Also tried to get a brochure for the Kancil (which is sold in Malaysia), but they wrote back to me and said "it's not homologated for use on UK roads"!
What a cheek! Would've loved to have read that!!

@@letsdiscussitoversometea8479 The first gen wagon r was amazing for 1993, the second gen (like agila) was indeed dull.
The special turbo/supercharged versions of kei cars of course are all lovely but it's almost impossible to find them where i live, in Southern Europe.
If i could have one, i would prefer the '86 alto works rsr or the storia x4.
I certainly need now a brochure for my L701 cuore also, such a nice addition to the car !
You gave me the motivation to search one on ebay. Thx for the talk !

The cheaper daihatsu cars made illegal copy of Italy's Fiat cars these cheap introduce in Japanese adverts which are very dangerous not like the features I see on Fiat and Alfa Romeo cars around outside Asia the audios quite loud not with the Fiat and Alfa Romeo cars they have the sound so low
