Your really awesome I remember watching you on nick ads and another artists talking about drawing and then after that I would just take a sketch book everywhere with me. And that took me to new heights because I was practicing always as a kid and got teachers noticing and were kindly enough to help me apply to art schools and landed comic and design jobs. In a small way but in a very big way also you have a huge influence on me. And I’m really noticing it. Gosh lol I realized that my first drawing book was one on how to draw fairly odd parents when I was in the 4th grade.....SO happy that I can still watch and enjoy your work and your sense of humor!

Hello Butch Hartman . I wanted to say thank you for creating the best cartoon ever DANNY PHANTOM!!! I loved it soo much I recorded the episodes , before the whole series was given to me as a gift. People always wondered why I love Dannyphantom , I just said I just got hooked. I still watch it to this day and I’m 25, I was lucky to find a shirt in Hot topic in high school. This is actually reassuring so thank you! I always knew you needed to struggle after all if life's too easy you're doing it wrong. But I'm sure I wasn't the only one who needed this. May God shines his way for anyone else who hasn't heard this but needs to.
Thanks for the encouragement Butch. I have been trying to get into a company, but I need to up my skills. I wanna keep trying so I can get somewhere so I can feel accomplished. Sadly the job I am at right now is eating all my time to do alot. I have went to college for animation, but flunked out from my final Bachelors class many times. It was because of they required me to have 3d somewhere in my demo reel. I wasn't good at 3d animation nor modeling stuff. I am good with 2d and maybe lighting. This was back in 2005. Since then I have help create a children's book back in 2011 and then wanted to make comics and stuff on the side. Recently been burned out from my other job and my soul wants to just be artistic, when this job restricts me a bit. I keep trying no matter what cause Art is my passion.

I was deliberately fired. Manager apparently didn't know what disabled meant when they said they'd take me from another Walgreens location.

Well technically I don't have an actual job, just Summer Jobs, at the Grape Fields with my parents. I begin after my Summer Classes are over and I stop after school begins. So I work for a month and a half. So I'm never asked to leave, I leave on my own because of Summer Vacation is over but I'm always welcome to come back every Summer Vacation.

Also could you do another Q&A video cuz I have a question for you if you decide to do one: in the animation field what would you do should you ever feel like you're running out of ideas? What do you do?

I love what you have to say about diversifying your skill set. I’m a writer, got a degree in creative writing even, and draw a bit, but I’ve never had any training. I have an idea for a cartoon series and I’m starting to develop it from the scriptwriting side. I’d love to be able to at least provide mockups for characters and settings, but I lack the skills to do that or even know what’s necessary. Do you have any stories, wisdom, or resources for someone who’s coming from the opposite side of where you started in animation?

I was originally a stage theater major in college, but I've recently started making this passion project series called The Dimensioneers (just like my username there). Right now, I'm just drawing the character designs, but I'm also planning on going back to my old community college to take an animation course because I figure: If I'm gonna turn this into a series where I might need animators in the future, I should at least know how to animate.
Fun fact: the Marvel Productions LTD studio he was referring to at 3:00 used to be known as DFE films (AKA DePatie Freleng Enterprises)

It's interesting that you say know everything to become more valuable. From what I know there's two schools of thought: becoming a specialist, or a generalist. What I've been taught from my communications degree is that it's better to know a little bit of everything but be a specialist because you become so unique that no one can compete with you. Once you do that, you can get into other fields, but if you don't have something unique about you, you can't stand out and get your foot in the door.
YOU'LL NEVER KNOW HOW VALUABLE SOMEONE'S TALENT IS TRULY WORTH , UNTIL THEY’RE GONE.

I remember the first episode of the Fairly Oddparents, I was 8 and the first thing I thought was "why everything is so pink?" (Now after seeing this video I think you were very affected that time by My Little Ponny, I get those traumas) but after that I thought "I wanna see more and I want to know why I don't have Fairy Godparents". That cartoon that I keep seeing brings me good memories. Thank you so much and now I'm getting by myself that everything has a reason why.
My dream is to be a tv director/writer and iam confident that i will do it i make simple stick animation and stop motion on my yt channel for fun but before i can make tv shows professionally i need to get threw this year and the next 2 of high school

Most cartoonists have worked on other cartoons before they start their own.How many years did it take before you started making your own cartoons?I have a plethora of concepts to introduce but I don't know how long it will take before they're allowed a series.

Hey Butch. I've heard that animated TV show creators have trouble finding different work in animation after their shows end because studios don't want a creator in a regular artist role (like storyboard or design), so creators need to keep creating new shows to remain working in animation. You're a creator. Can you shine a light on this?

Mr. Butch Hartman. I'm good in drawing cartoons for comics, portraits, visual development sketches on graph paper and character designing. I can be writing down story ideas and learning much more.
Interesting, I've heard a lot of advice to specialize and focus your artwork on your portfolio. When your artwork is all over the place and unfocused, it's hard to tell exactly what someone's good at and, well artists not paid much, just work with a pretty sizable staff.
I really wish we could get Danny phantom back you should make a RUclips series of it but the future version like you did with the Danny phantom 10 years later
