While Jeremy Clarkson should have moderated his comment (or made it clear it was a joke linked to Game of Thrones), we can be grateful to him for showing the Royal Family just how effective an apology will be. The Sussexes would never think it was enough and would go on doing whatever they needed to do to make more money off of the Royal Family!! The RF should not apologize!!
They have no need or reason to apologise .
What hets me is theat H and M seem to think it's OK to say awful things about the RF but can't stand it when someone says something awful about them.
Why should he apologise? It was his opinion, he's entitled to do so. He wasn't inciting violence he expressed his view, that's all.

Anyone who needs to be told that it was a joke, linked to Game of Thrones, does not deserve an apology. (I live abroad and never saw GoT, but I have often read Jeremy Clarkson over the years.) Satire explained is simply sad.
Sadiq Khan’t is the epitome of Plank of the Century and should be honorary winner every week.

The world’s leaders are pretty diverse - the Japanese prime minister is Japanese, the Chinese president is Chinese, the Indian prime minister is Indian, the Brazilian president is Brazilian etc they’re all pretty diverse, it’s only Britain that doesn’t have a British prime minister
Totally agree! I started to research the same and realised pretty quickly we have been conned! I believe many countries actually make it a requirement to be a born citizen of the country you wish to serve!
Love this show! I am American and have always thought that the US was so woke and insane that we must be the laughingstock of the world. Now I find that the UK suffers from many of the same problems. Where can we go to escape all this foolishness?? Thanks for a wonderful show and great info and entertainment.

Different cities have mayors, e.g. Mancunians vote for a Manchester mayor, people of Bristol for their mayor. Explain your D.C. comment more fully so that you begin to make any sense.

Werent they just, i had a lovely boss who got us freshly cooked apple donuts in the 80s twice a week, before that an elderly man in our department took us girls out on our birthdays , happy times

I don't understand the London Mayor's comments about Conservatives not caring about air pollution in London. If he was that concerned, wouldn't he ban all non-conforming vehicles? He is still allowing them to enter into the capital, but he is charging them. How will this reduce pollution? And by charging the lower income motorists who drive older vehicles, all he is doing is making it less likely that they will be able to buy a newer car. I believe that if he does not get his way that he will simply change the emissions levels in the existing ULEZ zone.

American citizens have to pay tax to the US government no matter where in the world they live, which is why Boris Johnson eventually gave up his citizenship - he hadn't lived there since he was a baby but still had to pay them tax. So Hasbeen's missus will have to pay tax on her income. Hasbeen will have to pay US tax as he's not resident in the UK any more so doesn't have to pay tax to the UK.

In the USA, people with their amount of money, are able to funnel payments into businesses...and then borrow against it for their living expenses. So, they pay no personal income tax. Read articles or watch shows from recent years, about how the Governor of Colorado paid NO personal income taxes.
Amazon has had zero tax liability for years; yet set up shop in D.C. near the capital, to milk American tax dollars for his ventures. No matter the political party, they all seem to do it!
Bernie and others refer to it as Corporate Welfare! Trump paid little to no personal taxes. Blue, Red, all the same!

You guys in London are so lucky you have a weather forecast that is even remotely accurate. In Jersey just off the Normandy coast we have the most inaccurate weather forecasts possible. We had a strong wind warning issued at 2am when the trees were falling and it was a severe storm with 70mph winds.
