Rodney's mannerisms ( adjusting his tie constantly, moving around a lot ) were his trademark as well as his tag line "I don't get no respect". Loved Rodney.
I was fortunate enough to have seen Rodney perform live when he was at his peak in the 80s. He was an incredible live act. I laughed so much that by the end of the show my facial muscles were fatigued. 😂 He truly was the king of the one-liners.
Rodney was beloved by every comedian of his day for his help and kindness. The joke was when Rodney died, they would powder him up and sell him by the gram.
555-1212 was the old number for information (like 411 now). EF Hutton was an old broker firm. The commercial was how people get quiet and listen whenever EF Hutton speaks.
His fidgetiness and saying he doesn't get any respect is the character he plays. The guy was a comedic genius, for people today, who don't have much experience with that generation, I can totally see where he'd be an acquired taste. Still......if you do get to watch more of Rodney Dangerfield you'll get used to what makes him so funny. He only does one liners, but they're very twisty one liners. He, his wife, his kids, his friends, etc. He insults everyone with an emphasis on himself. Seriously, at his time he was one of the funniest comedians at the time.
Caddy Shack is a comedy STAPLE. You need to watch and react to that movie. EVERYONE knows lines from that movie. That's how you know how significant it is.
I'm totally in love with your channel and this is the best. I worked for Rodney when I was young and stupid. He was a great boss but legit didn't give a f about anything. It's embarrassing but I can't tell you how many times I saw his junk. He used to walk around the casino in a bathrobe and that's it. There was one time a comedian was on stage and Rodney was watching from the side of the stage. I don't know if Rodney knew or just didn't care, but more people were looking at his open bathrobe than the comedian. People kept asking me if I saw it. I said, "I'm his gofer. I've seen it more times than I'd like to admit." But he treated me fantastic.
Rodney was funny everywhere he went.. back to school is one of my favorite movies. He was so funny and another comedy legend " Sam Kennison" also stars in it as the teacher that yells. That's Sam's trademark... Y'all definitely check it out
He was one of the real comedians. Nothing extreme, but funny. Caddyshack is the BEST!!!!!! His role is spot on. And is funny between him and the others. You can tell is was early 80's.
Rodney's hook line, "No Respect" was suggested to him by an old comedy club owner and friend George Schultz. Back in 1962 Rodney played in George's club 'PIPS, in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Rodney was the King of the one liners...
Dangerfield wasn't married when he was telling all these wife jokes. He was married to his first wife, Joyce Indig, twice (1951-1961, 1963-1970). He was married to his second wife, Joan Child from 1993 until his death in 2004.
Hello again Ya'll! I recommend watching his documentary! It will shock you with how much he went through! Can be disturbing to some viewers! Keep up the good work, love Ya'lls reactions and vids! Ya'll be sweet, stay safe, and be well!👍👍✌️✌️🫂🫂🙏🙏❤️🐍
A few days ago I went to my old boss's house to visit and the deacon was there, One minute he was telling me how good I looked for my age, then he told me I sounded like Rodney when I talked! LMAO!
many of Rodney's jokes were wife jokes,......for many years. His bread and butter though, were his, "No respect" jokes. It was the comedy catch phrase of it's day. Eddie Murphy and Rodney were acquaintances over the years. Eddie did a lot of shows at Dangerfield's club. Rodney's act harkens back to the 1950s Catskills where stand up was born. Back to the days of, "I don't know about women,....I mean take my wife..........Please!" Many jokes were about the "old ball and chain".
Other comedians of the present day (eg. Bill Burr on Conan) follow Rodney's pattern with Johnny of using other stand-up material on the "interview" segments.
@@usertr13phinsupHe's commenting in reference to the reactors' reaction. They seemed to believe everything he said was real, and so they reacted with sympathy.
Guys that phenomenon about comics having a dirty act surprising you has been going on a long time. There was a show when I was a kid (about 60 years ago) called the Beverly Hillbillies, having moved from Appalachia to Baltimore I loved the show and Mom and Dad went to a show with Irene Ryan (Granny) and they came home early, shocked that she worked "blue" and talked dirty.
I always get amazed at people reactions to 'yesterdays' comedy. We all are products of our generation. Every one of us. Youll find one day,,,your younger people will ,,'wince' at things YOU said,,,because eoit was acceptable in YOUR generation. Ya think it was fair,,,back 700 years ago if you didnt bow quite right to a king on some cobble road,,,,your head might be lopped off?? I think people are really dumb to think how things are NOW,,to be normal,, how they were 20,,,,40 ,,,100 years ago or more. Anyhoo,,,ok,,,just got THIS off my chest. :) You two do a GREAT job with your reaction videos!
AWESOME REACTION!!! Great stuff! SOOO FUNNN!!! ♥♥♥ Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Great. Now you only need to watch Foster Brooks. Try his roust of Don Rickels as a start. He did many fantastic rousts on the Dean Martin Roust show from the 70's
EASY MONEY WITH JOE PESCI , ONE OF THE FUNNIEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME, GREAT UNDERRATED FLICK, UP THEIR WITH BEST, CHECK IT OUT GUY'S, YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED 🎥🎬
The movie you should watch with Rodney Dangerfield is called “easy money“… He is this “average guy“ that does everything he could to have fun and doesn’t worry about anything and his mother-in-law hates him and wants to make him change. Things happen that could make him change that are very powerful forces and he wants to change only because of How he and his family will benefit… It is very funny from beginning to the extreme end.

You guys have to watch a Rodney movie called “ Easy Money” He has to give up smoking and drinking to get his mother in law’s money. It’s got Joe Pesci in it as well. It is hysterical.
Before Richard Pryor most stand-ups did "acts" rather than joke about their real lives. Today, nearly all stand-ups joke about their real lives. That's why Pryor was so huge. Almost no one does an act anymore, and some comics even stigmatize it.
I love Rodney Dangerfield but now please react to MICHAEL MCINTYRE doing his bit called PEOPLE WITHOUT KIDS JUST DONT GET IT. (runs time 7:42) He is hilarious!!
Rodney's mannerisms ( adjusting his tie constantly, moving around a lot ) were his trademark as well as his tag line "I don't get no respect". Loved Rodney.
" We called our dog Egypt... He leaves a pyramid in every room."😂😂😂
Rodney, the king of one-liners.
Lots better than Henny Yungman... probably spelled it wrong. He was big in the 40s to the late 60s.
I actually got to hang out with him a few times. He was so nice but also so funny. You should watch his full shows. He was so tame on TV.
555-1212 was the number for information assistance back in the day. Love seeing old clips of the comedy genius. Rodney "no respect" Dangerfield.😅
Back to School is my favorite movie he did.
Mine too.
What was it the Triple Lindy?
Sitting and talking with Johnny is basically an extension of his stand up set 😂

He had a pretty good marriage. She loved his humor.

back to school has another legend in it. Sam Kinneson

Rodney was the GOAT!!!!
Caddy Shack is a great classic! Please see it, even if you don’t react online!!
Caddyshack, Easy Money, Back to School are a few of the movies he's been in.
All three are great
Rodney was also in Back To School (you'd love it) and Easy Money, two really great movies.
Rodney Dangerfield is a master of self-deprecating comedy. His tagline was "I don't get no respect!"
"It ain't easy being me!"
(fun fact) he started his own comedy club in New York - he has everything from rookies to pros .... and if you were lucky, you can see him LIVE
The king of one liners 😂😂
"I tell ya, I go fishin I catch nothin, I go to orgies, I catch everything." - Rodney Dangerfield
Back to School is hilarious from start to finish! Easy Money is great too.
He had a comedy club too.
Back to School, was a great Rodney movie
Back to School is a good movie with Rodney.
React to back to school with Rodney Dangerfield 🩵🩵🩵
The corniness, the relentlessness, the sweat, the one-joke-after-another rhythm, the playing-with-the-tie … That’s all why we loved him.
Back to School is my favorite movie of his.
Thanks for watching. I LOVE Rodney! Not his best appearance, please be sure to check out a few more.

"A woman called me and said," Come over, nobody's home, I came over nobody was home." - Rodney Dangerfield
I would love for you to react to more JOHNNY CARSON. He was one of the best!!!!
I've heard that Rodney used to be truly devastated on the rare occasion he found out that someone had taken a joke seriously
"All I know is, I have a lot of balls!"

Rodney was on with Carson a few times. I remember one time in particular that he had Johnny losing it constantly. Rip Rodney
Richard Pryor, Rodney, rickles, carlin,Williams and many more are real comedians
Back to School was a good flick of his with a young Robert Downey Jr.
The triple Lindy off the high dive had me crying
