Historical Railway Station of Sri Ram Pura in Pakistan | Adventurous Railfanning

- Hello Everyone, this is a special vlog of my recent railfanning trip when I along with my railfan friends visited historical railway station of Sri Ram Pura (also written as Srirampura).
In this adventurous journey, we decided to take an inner road to reach said railway station but it turned adventurous when there was no road existing in actual. We passed from large fields where rice were planted.
At number of occasions we had to lift our motorcycles to make our way to railway station. After reaching there we captured both trains currently working on this route. Did a brief review of station building and got to know the history from station master of Sri Ram Pura.

One of the oldest railway station which was part of indian railway before partition. Great history and remembrance. Hindustan zindabad, sri rampura station.
Lahore city is named in memory of Lava, son of Lord Shree Ram ji.

Actually religion should be personal faith and not a state matter. Anyway Hindus of North India and Muslim's of Pakistani punjab and Sindh are genetically brothers. Those whose forefathers didn't convert to Islam migrated to this part of India.

Appreciable that in most of the cases, original names of various streets, mohallas, Bazar, railway stations etc, are retained as it is in Pakistan.

How he may be killing the time? just two trains passing,and not halting also.when Alma express passed no flagman was seen, giving green signal to it. Whether S.M. Saheb is the only staffer there? anyway nice presentation, sir.
Branch lines with less traffic are under staffed. Flag was shown but it is not in camera. Now two more trains have been restarted post covid. Making a total of 6 trains daily.

Very nice...your coverage made me nostalgic to memory of 1980 at my native place Ferozepur....when I along with my friends used to visit such small stations Kaso Bagu, Jhok Tehal Singh on Ferozepur-Fazilka section along Indo Pak Border...As my Father was in Railways... I used to go these stations to read and cram our books during Matriculation class...the peace, silence and freedom at such places is rare now a days, in our hectic modern life..thanks for sharing and especially the history read out by Station Master...

In this vlog I noticed cut sleepers to hold the track intact, but in India sleepers are laid fully horizontal to hold the track intact

A pair of cut slipper are connected with each other through steel bars to keep the pair in position and avoid distraction during train passing over them. This practice is on remote area lines only

Ur video was nice,and I want to tell station master that as a minority I never felt any kind of fear in India.
It is the same here. Minorities are living freely and we cannot blame whole country for one single bad incident which happens on both sides of border.
